It's sad that only a few people will understand this.

"I'm crying cause I'm stupid!"
"Well that's no reason to cry, one cries because one is sad. For instance, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."

A mathematician and a physicist are at a bar having a conversation. The physicist leaves off to the restroom. The math guy calls over their waitress. "Excuse me, when my friend comes back, I'd like you to say 'x cubed over three'. Can you say that?" The waitress responds "Yes, okay. x cubed over three". The physicist returns and sits in his seat. The mathematician then continues, "Excuse me, miss. My physics friend and I were having a debate over whether or not ordinary people have elementary knowledge of mathematics. May I ask, what is the antiderivative of x squared?" The waitress replies, "x cubed over three". The mathematician turns to the physicist with a wide smile. "Plus C", adds the waitress, walking off.

(calculus joke anyone, anyone... no? okay)

That would impress me, and it's plausible because of the economy. I should talk to waitresses more.

The graph for Tangent, one of the main 3 functions (others are sine and cosine), is shown on the woman's back. Tangent is abbreviated as tan. I'm not great at explaining but I hope I did alright.

The parents should've been 1 and 2. The kid could've been the sq. rt. of 2 (because it's between 1 and 2). The comic then could've included the parents saying, "He's so irrational sometimes."

I'm not a math guy so I'm not sure but I think he's saying **** wouldn't be real because it'd still be a negative square root.

The square root itself is non-real while if you square it, it would cancel each other out leaving -negative *****
