Reason for 'not' buying Iphone 5. /channel/gay-macs/Reason+for+buying+Iphone+5/zYsfGmL/ Samsung Galaxy S3 is too frigging big... Here's a revolutionary idea: it's a phone used by the person who buys it, so unless it directly affects you, quit bitching about it. It's all about opinion. If AppleIsGay samsung

As long as it calls and texts people, I am fine with it.

Then when you pull it out in public you feel like you're using an antique... I love that feeling.

I just never felt the need for a touch screen phone. My fingers are too big.
User avatar #72 to #71 - thisotherdude (09/16/2012) [-]
I never really felt the need for texting anything longer then only a few words, if there's something important you need to tell someone call them, and if you want to talk tell to meet you somewhere, texting should only be used for saying stuff like "we're meeting at John's at 6"

I do the same. Besides talking allows the conversation to move faster.

What I think is interesting is cellular devices started off huge. Then as time when on they progressively got smaller and smaller, hell anyone even remember the Juke? **** was midget-like. Now ironically we are going backwards and phones are getting larger.

gif unrelated at all.

I think it's because of screen size and batteries. The next thing they need for smaller devices might be something like foldable displays and some magical battery chemistry..
User avatar #90 to #66 - thequickster (09/16/2012) [-]
Good point, but what's the point of increasing screen size? A little increase is fine, but eventually everyone will hypothetically speaking be walking around with iPad lengthed iPhones and such.

Pic related, it's what everyone did when the iPhone came out.

Buying a iPhone means they are giving Apple money, which means Apple is going to make the same junk over and over AND keep doing patent lawsuits against other companies and sooner or later have a patent for everything and then there will not be any competition because it's against the "law" to buy a Android phone so you can only buy a iPhone.

It does affect me, it rustles my jimmies.

Junk? It only seems that way because there's not much difference to the last one. It's still good to an extent.

Fun Fact: The Retina display is built by Samsung, the iPhone 5's screen res is 1136x640. The Samsung Galaxy S3 has the Super AMOLED screen, also built by Samsung. Its screen res is 1280 x 720. The iPhone 5 has an almost unnoticeably sharper screen (326 ppi vs. 306 ppi).

Honestly, I'm probably getting an iPhone 5. I do like the iPhones, especially after jailbreaking. I don't as much support Apple, especially for stupid lawsuits and other **** they pull. Plus, the iPhone 5 won't be ultra expensive for me to get, since I own an iPhone now and it'll be an upgrade when my contract is up, and I'd probably get a refurbished one, since its cheaper and I've known a number of people who have gotten refurbished and had no issues.
User avatar #16 - guitarguise (09/16/2012) [-]
Nope. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note, which is even bigger than the S3, and it fits just fine with my daily routine. The complaint about iPhone5 ISN'T that it's too big for use. It's that it's only new features are a longer screen. Yes, the iPhone5 has a new A6 processor, so these people are wrong when they say size was the only improvement. But all I'm saying is that I love Samsung phones and they do just great, regardless of their size.

Go watch some video reviews on the Samsung Galaxy Note. None that I've found actually criticize the size.
User avatar #29 to #16 - EdwardElric **User deleted account** (09/16/2012) [-]
I'd have to criticize it's size... it's ******* huge and there's no way it would fit in my pocket. The person I know who has one is a pretty big guy so it works for him and his pockets are big enough.
