< This is my phone, because the only thing I would ever use a phone for is to text message and call people.

one of the best things about it is that I only need to charge it for a few hours, then it has a battery life of 20 days.

< My phone. I like flip phones, and I like keyboards.

Touchscreens are difficult to type with and require auto-correct. Non-flip phones are prone to pocket dialing and cracked screens. However, the battery life is poor (as is with every Blackberry).

I wish there was more variety in phones. Nearly every cell phone now is open-face and touchscreen.
#66 to #33 - hadrian (09/16/2012) [-]
Here's a compromise: the Samsung Captivate Glide. It's the phone I have. It has a keyboard, so I never have to use auto-correct. Because the screen locks, butt dialing is a non-issue. Since I actually have hand-eye coordination, my phones do not suffer abuse or get dropped and damaged. The downside is the battery life, and it does need to be charged daily, but there are ways that you can conserve use of power programmed into the phone.

My phone history (for the past decade) begins with the Nokia 3310, followed by a Motorola Razor, then a Samsung Blackjack II, then the Samsung Captivate Glide.

Well, being a Nokia it is very durable, I have accidentally dropped it, stepped on it, dropped a table on it (don't ask) and it still looks and performs as if it were brand new.

As for pocket dialing, I just lock the keypad whenever I'm not using my phone.

I have that same phone but in white.
This is the most meaningful connection I've ever felt in my life.

My phone doesn't have a touchscreen or apps or cost hundreds of dollars. I am perfectly content.

why does everyone bitch about technology? I understand that apple is a cruel awful corporation... but then you just don't buy their products. I've never had a phone and i'm happy this way. I don't like being a slave to possessions.

I bought my friend's old iPhone 3GS off him for $20, bought a AT&T prepaid sim card in it, and pay $40 a month for unlimited everything for it. MFW I'm fine having a cheap old iPhone instead of wasting hundreds of dollars for a new one like a gay Mac fanboy.

Look i get that iphones are over priced and basically they haven't made any major differences from the original iphone. But i got my iphone 4 from my dad after he passed away and i love it. I charge my phone every night and im happy to do that. I can play minecraft and pokemon in the one thing and make calls and texts. I love it and yeah, **** me right?
User avatar #86 to #81 - legaleliminator (09/16/2012) [-]
they haven't done much since windows 98, and since OSX... what you point? there really isn't much to do, every single phone company will be doing only little things to their phones. another good example is the HTC S III. my friend has the S II, and there is almost no difference to them.
#87 to #86 - John Cena (09/16/2012) [-]
hts s III what????? i love my galaxy s III.
or am i missing sarcasm?
User avatar #89 to #87 - legaleliminator (09/16/2012) [-]
no there is no sarcasm, i have compared the S II that my friend has with an S III, there is almost no difference. the only real difference that i can see is that they have rounded the edges.

I still have an old Nokia sitting in my garage. I'd use it as my cellphone, but I'm afraid I'll drop it.
#8 - sniffythebird (09/15/2012) [-]
This one is good enough for me.
All I need a phone for is calling, texting, checking the time, having an alarm clock.

Gotta love how surprised people get when they see it. And the durability of this thing is a plus too.

(Nokia 5140i)

User avatar #16 to #8 - sphinxe (09/16/2012) [-]
I have a little nokia too. However slides up and it's in colour. It does what I need and the battery lasts 3-5 days straight. Who wants more really?

SE Zylo for the past 2 years, I just love the fact that I have to recharge it only once a week
User avatar #98 to #92 - moonwire (09/16/2012) [-]
Same goes for mine, even after heavy use it can last at least 3 days. Leaving it alone, fully charged, it would still probably take 2 weeks for the battery to run completely dry. I'd rather have these wonderfully long battery lifetimes than so many functions and risk it dying on me in no time at all.

I will say one thing about apple.

They make a very nice touch screen.
User avatar #83 to #79 - DingoJ ONLINE (09/16/2012) [-]
damn shame it cracks so easily
User avatar #84 to #83 - Zeigh (09/16/2012) [-]
point.
But it's very responsive, which is more than I can say about other touchscreens.

That's where the compliments end though.
