have you ever thought that you grew up

have you ever thought that the yolo swag fags are just loud attention whores

have you ever thought that because they're loud attention whores, you don't see those kids who are just like you were, and who have the same kind of child like life as you did.

just a thought.

YES, that's what I try to tell people (I'm 11 btw) that not all kids are retards.

You're too young for this website.

Come back after you've graduated the 6th grade. 'Till then, play with your action figures or something.

Unless you got all 7 colors of chaos chao(s), transparent and translucent chao(s), and all the two-tones you haven't played nearly enough
User avatar #29 to #27 - djequalizee (09/15/2012) [-]
Eh, i had 2 chaos chaos. a couple of 2 toned chaos. and a couple of transulcent ones. i played the adventure 2 battle version the most. so i had all those cool versions of chaos that had hair like sonic and shadow, and i had one that had lvl 99 on everything but power which was around 89
User avatar #30 to #29 - celestiasbeard (09/15/2012) [-]
Ah to this very day one of the only chaos ones i didn't get was the red, that elusive little prick, and oh god how I felt so happy capping out my first chao

oh hush your whining. I'm also from your generation, and you know what? I grew up. And realized that the things I liked were silly and stupid, too. The only reason I value them more is because of the nostalgia. Let these kids have their fun, even if it's more shallow than what you or I had. They'll grow up like we did. Until then, stop complaining.

I was at a mall today and I saw some little 12 year old kid wearing a shirt that said

Y ou
O nly
L ive
O nce

Needless to say I pulled out my .44 Magnum and murdered him right on the spot because I'm an oversensitive bitch like you, OP.

Let people wear what they want, **** . All I care about is how they act. If they're nice people and are respectful of others while in public then they're fine by me.

I don't understand what the big deal is with swag or yolo, it's just another trend. Things change, roll with it. Everyone on here is like "LOL YO **** SWAG THEY'RE ALL SWAGFAGS THEY MUST BE DOUCHEBAGS". I forgot a persons apparel defines they're personality.
User avatar #230 to #224 - evilpotato (09/15/2012) [-]
Lots of people actually wear clothes to help express their personality. It can immediatly distinguish them as a fan of a tv show, or in cases suggested by op, they seem like assholes. Which I honestly have found most people wearing stuff like that are generally rude, stupid, and impolite.
User avatar #234 to #230 - Digitalphear (09/15/2012) [-]
Ever hear of "don't judge a book by its cover".
User avatar #245 to #234 - evilpotato (09/15/2012) [-]
That's only true up to a certain point. If someone is draped in a Mexican flag, I'll assume they are from Mexico.

Oh, and very mature of you to thumb down someone who doesn't perfectly agree with you. Really trying to show me what's what eh?
User avatar #249 to #245 - Digitalphear (09/15/2012) [-]
I actually didn't thumb you down, someone else did that. I thumbed you up because I agree and respect your opinion.

You want to know what do your parents think about your generation's childhood?
It would be funny.
And we could go on generations after geneartion with the same results.

Furthermore, some dumbasses in every generation are not the majority and it's hypocrisy to even pretend to know it.

So calm your butthurt and cry on your childhood alone.

What's stopping you is that you're 15 and all you know how to do is whine on the internet. Things aren't like how they used to be. Society changes, sometimes for the worst. But you're as shallow as all those idiots if you think that *every* person out there is a dumbass who's bent on showing how much swag they have. Idiots are way louder than sane, intelligent people. Maybe you should stop looking on facebook for what you think is the average person in today's society.
User avatar #91 - giblets (09/15/2012) [-]
Have you considered that the generation you are posting about was just as bad as ours.

We're the generation that made the music industry what it was, we're the ones who made MTV as powerful as it is, we're the ones who would sit and watch cartoons that people who are older than us would thing were awful, but we thought they were the best thing since sliced bread.
As you get older the stupid things of childhood don't make sense, but when you're young they do.

Just because you've lost your youth, don't bash others.
(I was born '95 incase you wanted to know what 'my generation is')

However nothing will beat the original Power Rangers
User avatar #188 to #91 - duskmane ONLINE (09/15/2012) [-]
There are idiots in every age group. The 90s children had their bad moments (I don't actually remember them. I remember our generation being about love, having fun, and caring for eachother unconditionally.
There will always be idiots in every group though.

Now there are just more of them.

I was born in 1990, and have pencil lead embedded in my back, about half a centimeter from my spinal cord, because some kid was pretending to be a Power Ranger. I don't hold that against the Power Rangers. I hold it against morons.

We are fortunate enough to live in a society where the masses have a unified voice. Tthe masses are just retarded these days.
User avatar #212 to #188 - giblets (09/15/2012) [-]
The masses are retards, but they will also be some of the most educated because of advancements in teaching, and the fact that as soon as they can read they'll be on the internet

Obviously a direct quote. Don't even get me started on the evolution of language!
User avatar #228 to #214 - duskmane ONLINE (09/15/2012) [-]
If that is being deemed as the English language evolving, I think we should abandon that particular evolutionary path. That, or I'll be the monkey that stays in the tree with a smug grin and eloquent responses to knowledge seekers' queries while my "more evolved" cousins run around with pants around their ankles, dry humping eachother screaming "omg ur pssy so taight bb!" then and trying to pay child support with swag.

Frankly, I might just go into hiding. I respect my braincells too much to deal with that.
User avatar #246 to #228 - giblets (09/15/2012) [-]
Well it obviously is, I believe that 'u' will be in the dictionary in the next few years (if not already) and 'omg' 'atm' 'btw' etc. will all follow.

However, I know a few people who talk like that on Facebook, or by text, but then they also get A's in English.
User avatar #273 to #246 - duskmane ONLINE (09/16/2012) [-]
I think everyone who talks like that should be beaten. Profusely. With a copy of the Oxford dictionary.
I have a deep love for the spoken word. It can be so very elegant and moving, gently stirring emotions deep in one's soul in such a profound way that it is seemingly contradictory, as a lover's lips softly grazing one's own.
(I would have majored in English, but there's no money in it anymore, so what little writing I do is done privately, for my own entertainment.)
User avatar #275 to #273 - giblets (09/16/2012) [-]
I don't agree with it, I just think it's whats going to happen.

I also love the spoken word, in fact some of my favourite books are all from the Jacobean era, Shakespeare, Thomas Middleton, Ben Jonson etc.
There's something about books that can stir up some emotions that just can't be portrayed in films.
I am studying English Literature, but not at University level yet.
