we get everything that America and China get, but 6 months later and for twice the cost
also our general internet and phone connectivity are fairly rubbish (though the NBN should fix that...)

Ah true. I remember when i moved here a few months ago i saw a post on facebook about "the new avatar series" and i thought "wait a minute, i've already seen all the episodes, why the **** is australia only getting them now"
Also, in the states i had unlimited download for my internet. now i have 500gb a month with is still good, i guess.
