Due to light being massless, how would it ever be affected by gravity?

Its not entirely massless, why are black holes black? because their gravitational pull is so large that not even light can escape it, idk if thats the right way to word it, but you get the idea

this might seem like a stupid question, but if light is massless, then how come it can not escape from a black hole?

An apple falls to the ground because of the gravitational force between its mass and the mass of the Earth. This doesn't really apply to light though, since, as you said, it's basically without mass. A truly accurate answer would be pretty complicated, and beyond me. But regardless, it lies in General Relativity. Ever heard the idea of gravity bending spacetime? Well, this curvature affect's the momentum of light, causing a change in direction... So there you have it :)

I work in a ******* card shop, your telling me that taking a photo of a mildly funny card would get thumbs?... damn I wish I'd thought.

You do realize that there's practically a cult of people who go into places like Hallmark just so they can read funny cards. I should know; I'm one of them.

Thats true, but after working there for so long, I've seen them all, and birthdays and other occasions on which I recieve them have been robbed of all card based entertainment to the point where... I'm actually close to suicide right now you know
