traditional british food is stereo-typically known more to be fatty tavern foods, (ie bangers and mash with beans) whereas Italian food is more stereo-typically rich fancy foods, with variously shaped noodles and delicious sauces.

Not true, you have English Stereotype foods and Scottish, I think a lot of people forget that we are two different countries alot. Like we eat Haggis and **** .

I'm just saying, I like a lot of British foods, and Scottish, but the stereotype that comes to mind in most Americans when you ask them "what is a British food?" whereas you ask them to think of an Italian food you'll get a myriad of expensive meats cheeses and noodle-dishes.
Not saying that I agree with that, just backing up the funny of the post.

Yeah I know where your coming from, some Americans thinks Britain's just one country...

not so much, most just think of it in the same way that everyone else thinks of the USA, each state has a vastly different culture, history, accent, norms, and even social contract. so we tend to empathize with the UK as being a confederacy of many similar countries than anything. I know it's not, and that talking about Britain as a whole is not correct. then again I'm sure a lot of people in Europe like to group you guys together as "Britain" just like "Scandinavia" gets grouped together, etc.

Yeah I know what you mean, Scotland is very different though, we are completely more laid back, happier I would say.
