... Actually The Beatles came up with the logo and Apple used it without buying rights to it, so they still have to pay the remaining ones and the families of the dead ones a small percentage from every product sold.
They can sue for using the logo, however, about half of the profit made from suing would go to the Families/remaining Beatles.

The Beatles' company Apple Records sued them for their name. Their logos are relatively dissimilar (Apple Records is a picture of a green "real" apple, while Apple Computers is a sleek looking metallic fake apple)
