Nice idea, but I'd rather just spend the $15 on alcohol and get drunk now. I'm all for investment and results, but I'm an impatient bastard.
#145 to #81 - patagon (09/03/2012) [-]
I'm not saying that everyone should make their own booze but if you do you can do 4 litres every month or whatever so you don't actually have to wait, you just take the booze from the month before. And start making new. Get it?
User avatar #85 to #81 - tehcashew (09/03/2012) [-]
Spend $15 on this then spend $15 dollars on booze while you wait. Get drunk while you're waiting to get drunk

The Irish, the Russians...alcoholics in general.

Nah I met some Irish at the local pub, its always beer and maybe some drinks. never any pisslike. but then again, they're the more bargame Irish and not the drinking Irish

Drink it without water.
Hell, not my liver, what do I care?
#113 to #98 - calderman (09/03/2012) [-]
so? depending on how much water you add it'll still be a really high alcohol percentage
User avatar #119 to #113 - Ariados (09/03/2012) [-]
if you mix 90+ percent alcohol with an equal part of water you will get roughly 50% alcohol, mix it with an equal part again and you will get 25% and so on.

Technically correct - morally outrageous. This is a sin against your own tastebuds.

Still thumbed. After the initial uprising against the zombie plague, booze will be worth much in trade.

1. Get in car
2.Go to liquor store
3. Buy cheap liquor
4. Save time, money and probably will taste better.
User avatar #115 to #107 - chuca (09/03/2012) [-]
i think this is more for kids who cant get someone older to buy liquor for them, especially considering it's only 14% alcohol

I suppose but then how do you explain the science experiment in your closet to your mom when she finds it I don't think there was an entire two month period where at least one of my parents wasn't in my room when i lived at home.

I think I accidentally made beer once...

When I was like... eleven, I got this 'Make your own soda' kit, that for some reason wanted me to add yeast to the mix. I'm no expert, but I'm not sure soda traditionally has yeast in it. Well anyway, they made me wait a couple weeks for it to 'ferment' which should have raised some alarm, right there, and then I went and grabbed it, and sure enough, it was beer.

So I THINK they got the 'Make your own beer' kit mixed up with my soda kit.

So I ended up with cola-flavored beer, and my grandpa was pretty ******* thrilled. And then pretty ******* drunk.
User avatar #94 to #66 - arawan (09/03/2012) [-]
Just fyi, yeast is needed to ferment to carbonate the soda. It's one of the two byproducts, the other being alcohol of course.
#74 to #66 - John Cena (09/03/2012) [-]
OR he was faking it. It was a soda kit because beer takes longer to ferment, in two weeks you'd have a beer less than 1% alcohol. you have to be at least 18 to buy those, and you can't have a coca-cola version of beer, the yeast for alcohol is too sensitive to the PH of sodas.

I brew on a regular basis, and I see nothing in this recipe that would cause health.
However, cider is not recommended to exceed 7 percent alcohol, as beyond that it will taste foul. You will get very drunk of this recipe, but it will not be tasty.
