What has ArenaNet been banning people for? I've seen so many complaints on the bans that ArenaNet even made a 'instead of perma-ban it can become a 3-day ban'.

people were exploiting the ingame marketplace to get a bazillion gold or something, idk

I heard that's why the trading post has been down all week, ArenaNet has been trying to make it loophole-free

Implying exploits.

Even famous streamers such as Kripparian have been banned for doing something such as purchasing cooking materials via Karma and then selling the cooked items on the marketplace. 72 hour ban for "exploiting game mechanics", which turned into a (here's the cherry on the pie) permaban after someone said on Reddit they got permabanned for doing the same. An AN community manager replied there saying they've fixed the situation by terminating Kripparian's account - via Reddit, without him getting so much as an e-mail.

And this is one of the over 15 thousand bans to have happened in EU alone, compared to the 4500 worldwide than AN advertises.

I never though I'd actually say that Blizzard one-ups any other company in community management, but AN is really hitting it off.
