Plagiarism is when you try to pass something off as your own, which OP didn't. So yeah, I suppose he did forget it.

It...speaks to me. I have never felt so moved by such a brave image; a brazen attempt to personify all of life's most intricate mysteries in a single work. Bravo, good sir! Bravo!

You forgot modern art, which is a small speck of green paint in the corner of an otherwise blank canvas.

Which sells for $10 million...

Protip: Modern art is an art era describing all art from 1860-1970.

Van Gogh was a modern artist.

Then what is all art from 1971-Now?
User avatar #84 to #45 - iRetaliate (09/03/2012) [-]
We're not in a defined art period, we're currently borrowing from all other art periods.
#81 to #45 - hansvdw (09/03/2012) [-]
Post-modern art.
User avatar #85 to #81 - iRetaliate (09/03/2012) [-]
That's extremely incorrect.

Postmodernism is simply the counterbalance of modern art. It's basically art without creativity, from an objective perspective.
User avatar #86 to #85 - hansvdw (09/03/2012) [-]
Well it's where art is at right now. I wouldn't call it art without creativity, but many times it often looks like **** . Postmodern works are quite inaccessible, you need try and 'get it' somehow and that takes time and effort. But aigain sometimes it's just plain crap.

to bad whoever made this clearly had no art education otherwise they'd know the difference between abstract and nonrepresentational art.

I stared at it for a good minuet trying to figure out what it had to do with them.
