The reason black holes are so powerful is because of how small they are, they are probably a lot smaller then even the moon, but they have more mass then the sun, this creates enormous amounts of gravity. The only reason it is called a black hole is because it reflects no light, it isn't a hole at all. It wouldn't swallow earth, it woud just compress it to a ridiculously tiny size.

So the person that is telling her she is wrong is just pulling **** out of his/her ass

look,primary school physics
F=G*M*m/R^2 the gravitational force doesnt depends on the size of the objects, only on the masses and the distance
