What the OP is doing is comparing the two shows, instead of the people. They are both badasses capable of surviving in any envivonment. However, the premise of Survivorman is just in general more badass, although not quite as informative or fun to watch as Man vs Wild.

If they swapped shows, they would probably both be able to do each other's show very well, and then suddenly Bear Grylls would be the badass one, since he's the one going alone.

In other words, they're both capable of surviving by themselves for very long periods of time in hostile environments, but you just never see it in Man vs Wild, because that's the way the show is set up.

Thumb this down if you want, but I would prefer it if you actually posted a reply explaining why you disagree with me.

Agreed. It's like comparing Fifth Gear to Top Gear. Fifth Gear is aimed at more serious viewers. Top Gear, however, is aimed at car enthusiasts who also like a bit of comedy sprinkled on top.
