Lucifer is in the roman mythology the translation of the morning star, not the deity of light.
Additionaly in latin lucifer is translated into "The Light Bringer" or "Bringer of Light"

"The Light Bringer", "The Morning Star". You do realize that Light does not necessarily mean good?

I don't personally know any Latin at all but it could very well mean Light Bringer which would make since because the Bible Lucifer was an angel covered in Jewels and shined bright from the light of God.

Don't believe the whole bible **** but that's what it says. Nothing pisses Bible thumpers than knowing their **** better than them.

Well, Lucifer was (we see it now in a bible way, dont worry i am not christian, i am not baptized) you could say the strongest angel of all and was proud of it, and he loved that god loved him the most, then god created the humankind and took of them more care than he did of Lucifer, so he became jealous and tried to "tainted" the humankind with knowledge about a god who isn´t omnipotent.

There is also a 2nd version:

Lucifer became aware that god isn´t omnipotent and the bible pictures him as the badguy because he "gave us" critical thinking to ask everything and not become thoughtless slaves.

There are many different versions of what Lucifer looked like in the bible though. He was covered in Jewels in one version, Covered in instruments in another, and I believe had about 5ish or so faces in the other.

Christians will still say their bible is flawless though even though, even if it was all true, was written by I think around 50 different people. That's why I pray to the one true god. Vishnu.

The version of Satan with different faces, I am sure you mean the version of Dane Alligehri´s in his "La Dvinia Comedia" "Divine Comedy" in english where he had 3 faces and was chained on the everlasting ice of the 9th circle of hell (no, not from the game Dante´s Inferno, pretty inaccurate in my opinion" As far as i remember he had in one mouth cassius, in his second mouth brutus (you know, the two, who planned the assassination of Julius Caesar) and in hist third and last mouth Judas Iscariot, the one who betrayed Jesus Christ.

You know, i can say for myself i am not a faithful person, but i think it´s very interesting to do research for all religions, but yea, i think the christian religion is by far the most violent.

Yep it's derived from "lucem" meaning "light" and "ferre" meaning "to bear/bring"

Interesting stuff. I've always been more into math and science but I enjoy learning about different religions and mythologies. Dating an anthropology major has its perks in that regard.

Lucifer = Roman God of Light.

Jesus = The Way, The Light.

Lucifer = Jesus.

That nonsense the guy posted about the "roman deity" is so shockingly incorrect that it makes me want to scream until blood pours from my every orifice.
