Consider the following: If the general population acted "like they wanted to", we would have murders, theft and robberies all over. And then we would have less freedom than we have in a "controlled" state.

Except if you are a poet or some ****, who counts death as true freedom.

On another note, you are as free as you want to be. You ALWAYS have a choice. The only thing certain in life is birth and death.

don't you see the point? To live in a cage just because it is safe? do you really think all the world would go mad without governments? or do you think they're the ones who are feeding all that fear to people to make them believe they're needed?

Natural selection. What if he protects himself in that situation and kills YOU? Then you just made the wrong decision.

id say this would happen for a few years at the most , within a small group of people consisting of people who cannot handle freedom or doing things without a crowd to follow. I like to think of it as natural selection.

I seriously doubt the majority of the population enjoys murdering each other..

You've never been pissed off enough to kill somebody, but didn't because you know you'd be killed and/or arrested for it? Wow, it must be nice not dealing with lots of anger.

I didn't say the majority, but if a fraction of the population had free "kill what you want, no consequence", everyone would be more paranoid around other people, which could lead to accidents via miscommunication, etc.
