Autistic Man Children. So true. Probably repost... Pokemon is more directed at boys. MLP is directed at girls. get over it, MLP is and always will be made for little girls.

Yeah, the problems with bronies on FJ are for example, that most of them just don't want to shut the **** up about it. And their contents about their fandom is just unfunny and boring. I once even saw a ****** drawing of Pinkie Pie being 100+ thumbed up. Pokemon on the other side has some funny content, even if you just smirk and doesn't post a **** load just because a new game came out.

I Don't have a problem with either groups. But by god, seeing full grown men at "Bronycon" jump up and down, clapping their hands and screaming because Applejack's voice actor referenced "Apple.mov" really makes me question how much people can take fandom overboard.

When a girl plays pokemon it's totally fine, but when a boy even looks at MLP everybody's getting rustled
#208 to #196 - lukeiamyourmother (08/14/2012) [-]
Well when a girl wears boy clothes, it's perfectly fine. But if a guy wears girl clothes, everybody gets rustled. Same logic goes towards MLP

It's actually not aimed towards girls. I know plenty of little children (the actual demographic) that are male and like MLP. It WAS aimed at the younger viewers, no matter what sex, but is now aimed towards the bronies as well.

Faust's main idea for MLP:FiM was to make it enjoyable for everyone and break stereotypical boundaries, even though it's a show that's been directed only to young girls for ages

#61 to #44 - anon (08/14/2012) [-]
Exactly. There's a nostalgia factor involved with pokemon yet ponyfags suddenly like ponies when they were adults. And still I'm pretty sure most neutral-haters wouldn't have liked it when they were younger had they been exposed anway

I Think both are for 6 year olds

but at least adults like that pokemon aren't obnoxious.

maybe its just me but every brony i've met is either a douche bag or acts like a little kid.

I tried watching MLP and it was to childish for me, little dragons falling off ladders stopped being funny for me when i turned 6

#925 to #906 - darthtomale ONLINE (08/14/2012) [-]
i understand there are childish parts of it (clearly its because its a kids show) but i find the episodes are still watchable and even enjoyable.

That's because most of us grew up watching pokemon

MLP is a new show for little girls....

#106 - Jameshaich (08/14/2012) [-]
We grew up with pokemon, it had amazing games, it was aimed at young boys.
Since we grew up with it, we still have an attachment to it.
It was awesome.

MLP is a little girls show, released recently. You didn't grow up with it, and it has no good games in comparison to Pokemon.

Stop compairing the two, they're nothing alike.

What anon said was that a game in the works, "Fighting is Magic", is rather turning out to be a good game.

It's a fan-made My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fighting game. It's similar to Street Fighter IV.

MLP is a show targeted to 3 - 9 yearold GIRLS which you begun watching as an ADULT.
Pokemon is a show targeted to 3 - 12 yearold BOYS which you enjoyed as a KID.

Pokemon is wonder in gaming.
MLP is a good show to teach girls values while selling them toys.

Pokemon is notalgia and mainstream.
MLP is people's way of being weird, because some people need to be weird.

im not a brony. i also do not care or watch mlp, but i have several friend and relative who like the show. MOST of the bronys ARE males, yes, BUT they aren't adult males. no adult male over the age of 30 would watch the show. i believe mlp not only humors the internet, but is for EVERYONE WHO CHOOSES TO WATCH IT. the power-puff girls was the same.

Uh huh. Well, quite honestly, I'm okay with me watching a show made for young girls, because I enjoy it and the characters are actually interesting to me. I don't go crazy about it and don't have merchandise and crap like that, I just enjoy the show. I also enjoyed and still enjoy Power Puff Girls, and that was a show intended for young girls.

TL;DR, I'm completely secure in my sexuality and identity, so I'm perfectly fine with watching a show for little girls. If people don't like it, I don't bring it up with them.
User avatar #1058 to #1032 - basicargentinian ONLINE (08/14/2012) [-]
I'm ok with you liking MLP, as i said, it's a good show, I wouldn't be commenting if I hadn't watched it. Watching MLP doesn't make you gay, it makes you weird, not different, weird. As you don't buy merchandise and go dresses as AppleJack (best pony) to comic con and stuff I assume you are pretty normal, and do watch the show just for it's content. The this is some people watch it to belong to something different, because they want to, they need to be able to go to a place, wearing friggin hooves and people being perfectly ok with it. I'm ok with it, but many people aren't.
User avatar #1071 to #1058 - commontroll (08/14/2012) [-]
I see. Well yeah, I admit it's weird to people. I myself am weird, so I'm okay with being a little weird, but when people think it's because of some sexual reason, it upsets me. As for AJ being the best pony... Crackle is the best pony.
#1086 to #1071 - basicargentinian ONLINE (08/14/2012) [-]
People who relate watching MLP to sexuality are either close minded or sexually insecure themselves.
#1065 to #990 - anon (08/14/2012) [-]
And there is a ton of references to books, games and videos in many of the episodes. I still watch Samurai Jack because it got good animation, voice-acting, and storyline. Not because of nostalgia.

Ment to be watched

A BUNCH OF PICTURES PORTRAYING A STORY
THAT IS IT

User avatar #1033 to #1015 - basicargentinian ONLINE (08/14/2012) [-]
There is being normal.
There is being yourself. (best choice)
There is being original.
There is being weird.
Then there is being dangerously weird.

I'm not bashing you or that list, just the normal part of it. You are right on the rest.
User avatar #1063 to #1033 - skergex (08/14/2012) [-]
Well I wouldn't want to be normal. All people who have made an impact on society are not normal. They stand out in some way shape or form. Being normal means that you're living a boring, uneventful, pathetic life.
User avatar #1079 to #1063 - basicargentinian ONLINE (08/14/2012) [-]
being normal means you are surpressing yourself to fit into society, it's not the best thing to do bt far, but it's farther from the worst. I could be a homicidal maniac, but I rather supress my sadistic feelings and become a surgeon and be a working part of society.

Man is a primate which learns to supress it's primeval impulses in order to be part of a society, you don't have to be a gray blob, but you have to fit somewhere.

the difference between pokemon and MLP is awesome monsters fighting and beating the **** out of each other VS. ponies, rainbows, and glitter which aren't even appropriate for guys, no matter what their age is
#497 - profanity (08/14/2012) [-]
Implying 12 year olds or younger have the cognitive ability to effectively E.V., I.V. train pokemons, Apply appropriate H.M's and T.M's for optimum performance in battle, Choose items that will enhance performance according to the situation, and correctly use pokemon placing according to types and ability. Oh yea, and ************* scarfchomp. So pokemon can be played by little kids girl or boy, but at it's full extent as the japanese designed it, you kinda need a more aged population.

ponies. well it's aimed at little girls.

Obviously the MLP watchers get boxed because the most vocal part of them is the loud obnoxious people that try to cram it down other people's throats.

And hey, Pokemon is nostalgia. You can't argue with nostalgia.
