all AR-15 based weapons are obsolete now. bullpup is where it's at.

tell that to half of the worlds special forces that use a rifle based on the AR platform. SEALS, GROM, SAS, SASR, all use rifles based on the AR platform. Sorry kid.

i'm not saying it's a bad weapon, i'm just saying it's outdated. the AK-47 is an excellant weapon but it is obsolete too.

Riiiight. Russia still uses the AK platform. The AK-74M is their current service rifle, and it's literally the same design, but chambered in 5.45mm and the way the parts are machined is a bit different. Bullpups look cool and seem practical, but they are mechanically much more complex. And no military wants to have to give their troops engineering classes in order for them to field strip their weapon for maintenance.

"seem practical"? they shorten a rifle to carbine length without limiting the range!

Thats why I said it seems pretty practical. i won't argue that shortening a rifle while maintaining overall barrel length is a bad thing.

But go into the actual fielding of it. The bullpup design is incredibly complicated. Clearing a jam or fixing a part is more complicated and will take much longer. Standard configuration for rifles isn't obsolete until they make bullpups with mechanics as simple as an AR's direct impingement or AK's piston.

The C7 is beautiful, especially with that optic.

Ahhh.... Yes... I want to punch people in the face if they make mistakes like that.
