Well, this seems like the perfect place to voice my opinion on Brian's character. Brian is always supposed to have served as a voice of reason, however is written for by writers who are not voices of reason. They are completely biased, liberal atheists who use Brian's character to give 14 year old boys the mindset that only people with those aspects are in any way levelheaded. Family Guy is a great show imo, don't get me wrong, I just feel like it's just become a place for its writers to exude their political propaganda and make fun of anything that disagrees with them.

good job anon, in short, seth macfarlane has lost a lot of control over his own characters. now moving onto my own opinions, what seth and the writers need to do is look at what made brian so good in the early episodes and use him there, now all he seems to do is bitch and whine, and fight with quagmire (which I don't like because quagmire is HIGHLY hypocritical) sadly I think family guy would have to reboot somehow to fix what has been done to all of the characters... and even then I would not hold my breath

um... ******** , he admits to dating for their bodies (with a ******** way by saying "at least I'm honest about it) not for the fact that he hits on lois, is more boring than brian as the sexhound thing got old in the first season.... there is more if you look into the life of a man who should be in jail for multiple felonies

Brian's political slant has been done like a million times. They even did an episode where he converted to Republicanism and became best friends with Rush Limbaugh... and one of the episode's morals was not to judge celebrities based on their public image, because you have no right to judge a person you haven't met. And didn't one episode end with Peter calling people that learn lessons from TV shows idiots?

You aren't bothered that Family Guy has a political slant, you're bothered that Family Guy doesn't have *your* political slant. King of the Hill is conservatively-leaning, but you never hear any liberals whining.

*going to get red thumbs but **** it*
What's the difference between a democrat and a republican?
A democrat becomes a republican when you put money in his pocket.

So in other words any democrat that actually works hard and does something like start their own business is not going to be a democrat for very long.

(this excludes athletes and celebrities because they *most of the time* did not earn their money. It came too easily

2ndly king of the hill sucks...
Just sayin

Because those aren't the most hypocritical pieces ever to be on the show. Brian goes straight back to liberalism, they make fun of people for their images all the time, and trust me, nobody produces any artwork without expecting somebody to learn from it, not that I expect any intelligent person to learn from Family Guy. And that really isn't true, I don't even mind political slants in the show so long as they aren't made out to be reasoned from the gods like Brian's is. I agree with many points the show makes, I just feel like they're forced so much of the time. So the same could be said of you, couldn't it? That you aren't bothered because they *are* your political slant?

They mock Brian and his flaws in the show itself. Seth McFarlane insults his own character.

That is the only rant I've ever heard against Brian, but it is by another character, and Quagmire isn't made out to be a beacon of wisdom, either. This rant was just some fan service to keep fans who got tired of Brian satisfied.

But these are 2 characters that are voiced and created by the same guy. A lot of this is HIS own opinion too... at least I would think so.

No I know they are, they're very much his opinions. All I'm saying is the majority of the opinions expressed by any character on the show are the same liberal, atheist things Brian expresses, which leads me to believe that the writers, or just Macfarlane himself, use the show as a way to make their political opinions seem more valid. Btw, I just watched that entire episode, black jesus made me laugh so hard.

Hmm.. I don't know.. I've honestly never seen it in that way. I just see each character for what they are, Brian being a guy that won't shut up about politics and religion. You should never take its political, religious, or any kind of messages too seriously in my opinion. It's just a comedy cartoon show.
Besides.. even if the writers may believe these bias viewpoints.. it's not really their faults idiots believe their bias opinions on things from a friggin' cartoon.

You're right, it isn't their fault, and I'm not blaming them for that. What I'm blaming them for is believing that just because they write for a famous tv show it makes them more enlightened than other people and gives them the right to lecture them through what is supposed to be a comedy.
