Okay guys I need your help. My girlfriend just left for boot camp, and I, of course, am going to write her. I want my letters to stand out, so I want to write her on Pokemon paper. However I can't find anything. At this point I'll even order something like a coloring book that has the original Pokemon on each page and just write her on the pages. Well if you happen to find anything just reply! Thanks for your time!

Just use an image, turn up the opacity and print out the paper. For example.

As someone who has been through basic training I can tell you this is a REALLY, REALLY bad idea.

I don't know where you heard that the DS/ DI/ MTI can't read their letters, but if they can see through the envelope, or feel as though it holds something larger than a normal piece of paper the recruit has to open the letter in front of him/her.

Also, which service did she join? If it's the Marines, all letters get opened in front of the DI after they're all handed out.

It's the Navy. My buddy literally just got back from A-school. He is still on his two week leave, I asked him he said everything will be fine. I thought at first is was a ****** idea but everyone with recent experience I've talked to says it should be fine. Thanks for looking out though! :)

I'm just trying to give you a different perspective, because everyone I've talked to from other services (I'm Air Force, but went to a joint service 'A school') has literally had a different experience in boot.

Oh I completely understand. I think she'll be fine. At this rate though she won't be getting Pokemon paper lol.

Yeah she'll be fine. Not only is she a tough chick, but they can't read her letters. They are in the room when she reads them but so are all the other recruits.
