It's okay for KFC to continue abusing and torturing their animals before killing them and throwing live chicks into a grinder to make nuggets
but it's the absolute scum-of-the-earth thing to do for a business owner to state their beliefs.

Why would KFC torture chickens? That's just PETA propaganda.
User avatar #99 to #94 - dengekisushi (08/05/2012) [-]
ASPCA has an organization against them about it.
There have been undercover videos that show it happening, and they claim it to be KFC.
But what do I know.
I'm not much of a fan of their chicken anyways anymore.

Not torture, just kill without remorse or care of the pain caused. Torture would be dumb.

KFC dosn't torture their animals. there is NOTHING to gain from it. to waste time and resources on torture? that's such a stupid claim. and they want to feed their chickens. cause skinny chickens don't have as much meat on em

You, good sir, need to learn some knowledge...
User avatar #105 to #100 - ilcecchino (08/05/2012) [-]
the definition of torture is forced pain or discomfort with no desire to kill or release for a long period of time. what i think you mean to say is they kill their chickens in a very painful manner. which is not torture it is just remorseless and cruel. but in no way shape or for torture. a chicken still lives after it's head is chopped off. probably in a lot of pain. that while being a cruel way to kill a chicken is not technically torture. it's just killing it outright
User avatar #106 to #105 - ilcecchino (08/05/2012) [-]
They would not waste time and personell power to harm their chickens prior to killing them to beat them or hurt them.
#114 to #106 - heyimawesome (08/05/2012) [-]
You do know about all of the harsh conditions they live in right? They are forced into cages that are too small. Sometimes they are left without movement for so long that their feet morph around the cage wires. Their cages are never cleaned, so they are living in their own filth. They sear off their beaks and sometimes break or cut off their legs while they are alive. They pump them full of chemical and hormones that cause cancers and other organ issues and failures. One supplier was caught jumping up and down on live chickens, drop-kicking them like footballs and slamming them into walls, apparently for fun. Veterinarians partnered with KFC have called for changes in treatment or even shutting down plants because of the cruelty, but their pleas are ignored. Do you really think that this isn't forged pain or discomfort? KFC doesn't pay for free range chickens. Please learn a little before you post idiotic things like this again.

Try the New York Times, bro. www.nytimes.com/2004/07/20/business/kfc-supplier-accused-of-animal-cruelt y.html?pagewanted=all&src=pm. The rest of it is from a book called Don't Eat This Book by Morgan Spurlock and from a class I was in last year at college. Nice try.

It's not like Chik-Fil-A doesn't not serve gays or anything.
They just don't support those of the same sex getting married.
But the founders of the restaurant chain are just speaking their beliefs; they're a very Christian family.
I also don't understand why everybody is so uptight about it.

All of those people kissing those of the same sex in front of the store are being the immature ones, in my humble opinion.

You would not have a bill of rights without these so-called outdated morals and we might not have had a constitution because before the U.S.A decided to become a independent of England they wanted George Washington to be on the throne but he said we should build a new government based on biblical morals and the freedom to choose your own leader. Wait you actually believe that the media isn't ************ you?

What's going on with Chick-fil-a? Do they support gay marriage, or are the against it?
#47 to #44 - anon (08/04/2012) [-]
People aren't pissed that they are anti-gay they're pissed because the donated millions of dollars to anti-gay organizations. Now anti-gay people are eating there and giving more money to pro-gay companies by using their smartphones and computers to upload the pictures online.
User avatar #45 to #44 - warlockrichard (08/04/2012) [-]
they're against it and recently they made their position official and now a lot of anti-gay people are eating there to show their support
#46 to #45 - deathkilledme (08/04/2012) [-]
So they're supporting gluttony AND hate? That's not hypocritical, not at all.
User avatar #49 to #44 - IamSofaKingdom (08/04/2012) [-]
No the CEO was asked if he supported gay marriage, the business is a family owned, Christian organization so he obviously said no, he supports biblical marriage. That's it. He didn't campaign, make a speech or anything. He just truthfully answered a question they already knew the answer to and suddenly mayors and gays everywhere decided to boycott his restaurant.Chikfila hires gay workers and serves gay customers. They don't discriminate at all. People blew this WAY out of proportion. Also they don't support gluttony. They sell food, how much you buy has nothing to do with them.
User avatar #90 to #49 - wolfmango (08/05/2012) [-]
you missed out on the part when he said america will be punished for supporting this
User avatar #71 to #49 - deathkilledme (08/05/2012) [-]
I had no idea about the situation, and have never even eaten at Chickfila's. I admit to talking out of my ass and over exaggerating. Apologies for my ignorance.
User avatar #53 - Onemanretardpack (08/04/2012) [-]
I find it funny highly hypocritical how close minded the country has become. Like if you don't have an opinion the same as the popular opinion, you're automatically a bigot and a racist and all that. The dude who owns chic-fil-a simply said that he believes marriage is between a man and a woman, and we aren't one to tell god how his institution works. But all it took was ten seconds for the media to turn him into a "faggot-hating asshole".
#63 to #53 - anon (08/05/2012) [-]
Well that and the millions of dollars donated to anti gay organizations...there is that little thing too.
Oh right...this is obviously only about what he said...silly me.
User avatar #62 to #53 - bosszefronposter (08/05/2012) [-]
Though to be fair, Chick-Fil-A donates a lot of money to anti-gay groups.
User avatar #64 to #62 - Onemanretardpack (08/05/2012) [-]
They donate to people who share some of their interests, everyone does. Even people on the other side of the argument. Like the people who try and shove their sexuality down other peoples' throats.
#89 to #64 - anon (08/05/2012) [-]
You make this just too easy, if we are on the subject of "Shoving sexuality down people's throats" should I bring up all the television and other forms of mass media and public affection that straight people preform every single day?
Now lets pick up another point on this one, the gay community isn't asking for everyone to watch gay orgy's they are simply demanding the same rights that heterosexual couples have had their whole life.
#74 to #53 - FillupMiCrevis (08/05/2012) [-]
This isn't a Catholic country. We don't have a set religion therefore people shouldn't have to follow other peoples religion. Just because somebody's god says that two gay's shouldn't be together doesn't mean they should have to follow it.
User avatar #75 to #74 - Onemanretardpack (08/05/2012) [-]
Exactly! I don't get why gays HAVE to be married under this religion. There are churches that WILL marry gays, but most won't. There has to be a better way for this to happen, with a better, more open minded religion
#77 to #75 - FillupMiCrevis (08/05/2012) [-]
I don't get why we can't just start a new religion. We'll just Copy and paste the bible, but delete all the anti-gay and pro-slavery stuff. Yaknow, make it fit for more modern times.

I love the idea of religion. I like people following a moral code and trying to make themselves better people. I just hate how some people take it way to far and push it onto others.
#109 to #77 - heyimawesome (08/05/2012) [-]
Yes, then we can copy, paste and edit out all the stuff about how killing is bad, and raping is bad, and stealing and cheating and lying, and how bout we just edit the whole ******* thing out! Because Bible, that's why. Rev 22:18-19 Just sayin.
User avatar #6 - emobarbie (08/04/2012) [-]
When will people understand eating something or not isn't going to make you a better person?
User avatar #7 to #6 - noodlelover (08/04/2012) [-]
they aren't trying to become better people lol they aren't purchasing anything at chic fil a because they believe homosexuality is wrong which i completely disagree with but..... hey first amendment
User avatar #31 to #7 - xxpiexx (08/04/2012) [-]
I didn't go to be against gay marriage, I went because I supported someone standing by their opinion. It's about damn time we shouldn't have to dance around everyone's feelings anymore.

But gay people can get married all they want. That doesn't offend me.
#23 to #7 - anon (08/04/2012) [-]
They are also banning Chic Fil A businesses from certain states is that not wrong? I may not agree with Chic Fil A stance regarding gays, but it's their opinion and you should prohibit their business because they believe in something different. Overall this is funny because people(including funnyjunk) were against the comments saying they will never eat an Oreo, but gays are doing the same thing with Chicken sandwich, which is just as ridiculous.
Also incoming red thumbs.
User avatar #28 to #23 - noodlelover (08/04/2012) [-]
O of course its wrong
User avatar #60 to #6 - themanta (08/05/2012) [-]
people can choose not to support a company if they want. chic-fil-a funds anti-gay rights groups. if you feel strongly about gay rights then you can choose to not give money to a company that gives millions to defeat your cause. nothing wrong with that.
User avatar #65 to #60 - emobarbie (08/05/2012) [-]
In all honesty because I support gay rights I don't think I'll be eating there much. The only problem is when super christians all go and buy a ********* of chicken because they think they're "defeating the gay agenda and doing the will of God!"
