0.456L of water to one pound genius.jpeg
first off why is it switching from metric to imperial
secondly 1L of water is 1kg. now doesn't that seem much ****** better

simple way of getting the water without proper measuring devices... get a 2L bottle of pop. now you have a 2kg weight. try to pour out exactly half if 1L is needed

To get technical, one liter of water is not exactly 1 kg, it depends a lot on the temperature on the water as well.
However, it sure as hell is more accurate than using the pound-system.

If I don't even have a scale, how am I gonna measure .456 liters?
User avatar #131 to #63 - futuramafan (08/04/2012) [-]
a measuring cup

everybody has a measuring cup
User avatar #176 to #131 - localbees ONLINE (08/05/2012) [-]
You have a measuring cup that is that precise? I mean, you could mix and match a bunch of different sizes. Or you could just estimate the weight.

This.
User avatar #135 - kimmustonen (08/04/2012) [-]
About that toaster one, I tried, and the toaster gets overheated and it melted from
the inside making plastic components drip down on your precious toast.
Doesn't matter, had toast
User avatar #121 - tealkangaroo (08/04/2012) [-]
#3 - Or you could try this fun way at looking at things, the metric system! 1 Kilogram of water = 1 Liter :D
User avatar #137 - kimmustonen (08/04/2012) [-]
9. And then the rubber band breaks and the paint on it shoots across the wall

i can measure .456 liters of water, but don't have a scale
User avatar #6 to #2 - MrsKoolAidMan (08/04/2012) [-]
Maybe you have a graduated cylinder
User avatar #155 - gazoogo (08/05/2012) [-]
#10 is actually a really bad idea..... If you want crumbs to fall onto the red hot coils, then catch fire, go ahead and try it.
User avatar #130 - donkeyking (08/04/2012) [-]
10- But if you have a regular toaster, it's gonna stick to the sides still
8- Who uses a straw for a can?
