Please tell me I'm not the only one who doesn't have an interest in relationships? I'm not against them at all, but I've always been odd and never felt the need to have one, just have friends to hang out with. I've had one relationship, but it was a pretty funny/cool story (bro) - It is from the delights of my childhood at about eight years old: I had a girlfriend, but it was decided by her.

Literally: She told me I was her girlfriend, and that was what it was for like four years. I was a dumb child, so I was all like 'Okay lol'. She didn't like put me on a leash, but she might as well have because she scared me into doing **** like kissing; demanding for a ring for our future marriage (I don't know why, but I took my mum's engagement ring to give to her because I was a little downy child, which was eventually given back); and dumping me about ten times because I didn't do a specific thing she wanted, to all of which I was like 'okay lol' to because I didn't know what the **** was going on (like the average 12 year old now, amirite?) She once dumped me because I didn't want to roll down the window in the car on the way to an amusement park, and we got back together later on that day. Another day she just decided she wanted to go out with my friend instead, so she said quite simply "I'm leaving you" and went and sat with him. I sat there and took it because I still didn't know what was going on. Secondary/High school sort of broke this classic Romeo and Juliet tale of love and struggles, and we went on with our own thing. I felt nothing, but I'm sure relief was in there somewhere.

TL;DR or IDGAF: I was beyond whipped and was a slave, and I was a retarded child.

I agree with you for the most part. This year I'll be a Junior (11th), and I just don't see the point of it at this point. Not to say I'd decline a relationship or anything, I'm just personally waiting, I guess. For what, I don't know. Maybe college. Btw, that was a cool story (bro).
User avatar #244 to #241 - ultrarobbie (07/27/2012) [-]
Of course, completely understood. I would decline one myself though: Not because I'm against it, but because I wouldn't be that great a partner anyway as I'm pretty awful at socialising, and have social anxiety. This isn't why I'm not interested in a relationship though, but perhaps it may be part of it.

One bad experience for you means no one else actually enjoys it? Shut up dude. Stop jerking it and find a decent girl.
User avatar #114 to #106 - ultrarobbie (07/27/2012) [-]
When did I say that at all? For one, I do not feel the need to get one, and never have done even when I was going out with her; and two, I never said anything like "no one else enjoys it". I'm sorry, but you've completely misread what I'd written, or if not, completely taken the wrong message from it.
#62 to #60 - vigorousgayhobo (07/27/2012) [-]
Personally I'm just not sexually attracted to either sexes, though I tend to hang out with girls just to appear normal in todays society...
User avatar #64 to #62 - ultrarobbie (07/27/2012) [-]
I tend to hang out with girls because I find I can converse easily with them. I can converse with boys too, especially about things you can't really talk about with some girls, but it's only specific ones that have similar interests.

Don't worry, you're not the only one.
User avatar #68 to #67 - ultrarobbie (07/27/2012) [-]
Glad to know. I tend to not say anything in the Realm of the Real, just agree that a woman looks 'hot', and just say I don't feel I need a relationship right now. It's annoying that we can be shunned for such a dumb thing.
User avatar #69 to #68 - DeathOne ONLINE (07/27/2012) [-]
You're telling me.
Besides, how many of these kind of relationships will actually last?
User avatar #70 to #69 - ultrarobbie (07/27/2012) [-]
I know. I've never understood why people need to rush into them: Is it for them to feel accepted into society, or just because they feel it's right at the time? Again, not saying relationships and the people that have them are stupid because they aren't, but I guess I don't get it.
User avatar #71 to #70 - DeathOne ONLINE (07/27/2012) [-]
Neither do i.

Simple. What's better than having somebody else than your family who loves you for what you are? Somebody you can count on, no matter what. Somebody who will make you smile just by seeing that person. And it feels awesome to hug/kiss that person, awesome enough to make any ****** day a hundred times better. It makes it easier to go through the hard times life will throw at you.

And the list goes on and on and on....
User avatar #116 to #77 - ultrarobbie (07/27/2012) [-]
I love that idea, not saying I don't, I guess I just feel friends can do the same for me, if a little less if you know what I mean.
User avatar #133 to #116 - implosay ONLINE (07/27/2012) [-]
Yeah I see what you mean but trust me, there are things that friendship can't solve, that's when love gets in handy.

There's a pikachu on his shirt in pre-school, the desk in elementary school, on his laptop in college, and his mug at early adulthood, too.

I feel weird because I never had a crush until my first year of high school. :/
#12 to #9 - brandonstanford (07/27/2012) [-]
I had my first crush in Kindergarden then didn't like any girls in 4th-8th grade. (moved im 16 now) The girls at other schools seemed so much hotter because I went to a getto school and there were no white girls but now in high school there are hot girls but their all taken by douches and I went through a depression phase and now I get stares by girls which is weird because all my friends used to call me ugly.
So your not weird just around unattractive people :D
