mfw whenever i see videos of spoiled ass kids like this
**** , we were poor as hell growing up, none of us could afford to be spoiled, i remember this one time me and my parents were at the store and i was like "Mom, can i get this Hot Wheels?" and my dad would step in and be like "Ok son, you can choose between two options, you can get your toy car, or you can have dinner tonight, or unless you have the money to buy your toy" and after that i would just be silent and he would be just like "Alright! Dinner, wise choice"
kids these days are too privileged

i wasn't quite that poor but still pretty poor. i agree with you totally. kids shouldn't just get fast food every ******* meal every day, that's how you spoil your kid and turn them into greedy, ungrateful little ******* . for my family, it was a serious privilege or for celebrating something. i think the most often i ever got fast food was maybe once every month and a half, and even then it could only be one or two things from the dollar menu.
i'm actually pretty damn proud and glad to have grown up so poor. i don't get why so many people are so ashamed of being poor. people should take more pride in the fact that they grew up under adverse conditions. it's really humbling to not have not had the option to get whatever the hell you want whenever you want

True that man, growing up poor really teaches you to appreciate the simpler things in life, because sometimes less is more

We were so poor that me and my sister didnt have shoes and our clothes were either from sales or from " moms workbuddies old" clothes. it was sick. my mother was a single mother and dad paid her for letting him see us. i always remember how nice it was to be at dads. he always looked at our clothes and was like: "Kids, you need something new." Then we were off to buy new clothes. Only now i realize that father did not pay for mother to let him see us but paid mother to give us clothes and food. And we bearly got either. Mom used the money she got from father on himself, not us. i hate my mother. I thought about suicide but then i thought about dad and sis. And i live. Love or hate. Dont care. My life in a nut shell.

I remember it was hard after my parents split, i went to go live with my dad for highschool, but one thing i really wish i had when living with him was that i wish he could be more like a father and less of a bro, dont get me wrong, he was a good father, he helped me and gave me advice, but like when i first got caught smoking trees, he wasnt even mad, like not at all, more like happily surprised like "Oh, i didnt know you smoke bud, what kind is that?" and we would occasionally blaze and play video games, but i was expecting him to yell the **** out of me and give me the whole "im so disappointed in you, you are a disappointment to the family" speech, it was a good time, but i didnt need a good time, i need a father to ride my ass, a kid already has many friends, but only one father
gif very related because i like bananas
