C (ammo conservative, semi automatic for increased accuracy, good for multiple ranges)
D (reusable ammo, silent, primary weapon)
A (blunt weapon makes for best melee due to knockback)
D (most useful item, just before flashlight)
C (because **** you.) (no but can be a safe house as well as a vehicle, also runs on diesel, Ill be the only ****** using diesel)

All of those weapons are god awful.

Vehicle: d. boat, because zombies can't swim and should drown in large bodies of water.

Primary weapon: a. Sniper rifle. Has a scope for long distances, since I'll mostly be in the middle of a large body of water.

Secondary: c. silenced pistol, so I don't give myself away when shooting it.

Melee weapon: b. katana. I'm quite skilled with it. I actually have one.

Gadget: a. binoculars, so I can look around for safe places/escape routes.

if zombies are dead, why would they breath?

That's where the katana and pistol come in, if they follow me when i return to shore.

C. gives you stand off distance and can still be used in close. The 5.56 x 45 mm is a very common round so ammo is easy to get.

D. reusable bolts and if need you can make your own. fairly quiet but i could use a second optic.

D. This is a very resourceful weapon. its your axe, melee, fire starter, you can sharpen it with a rock, very durable and has stood the test of time.

C. always could use some rope.

A. this one was extremely hard, the boat was tempting, but logically coastal areas are heavily populated, tourist areas. more previous people, more zombies. if used properly the hummer can be your vehicle, house, distraction, barricade, and if needed can seat more then one.
User avatar #514 to #51 - misteranderson (07/18/2012) [-]
>Be you
>Use machete as a melee weapon
>It gets stuck in the first zombie you hit
>You die
Bat is a much better choice IMO, great range, durability and dat **** don't get stuck.
User avatar #599 to #514 - zightgeist (07/18/2012) [-]
i understand what you mean but in all likely hood the amount of fear encounter would have caused an adrenaline rush and if you wanted a bat, grab your gun barrel the stock of your weapon isn't exactly made of marsh mellows. the advantages far out way the disadvantages i my honest opinion. i mean no disrespect.
User avatar #520 to #514 - iarefurry (07/18/2012) [-]
Machete is also a very useful tool though, as well.
Great balance between practical use and a weapon
User avatar #525 to #520 - misteranderson (07/18/2012) [-]
That's why I picked the multitool as my 4th choice because it has all that useful **** on it. Rope is meh, it's pretty easy to find.
User avatar #555 to #525 - iarefurry (07/18/2012) [-]
Well its more so useful for chopping down trees, gathering fire wood and stuff.
So i guess it depends where you are then. If you're gonna be out in the wilds id say machete, otherwise baseball bat wouldn't be half bad for other situations.

But definitely see what you mean on the rope thing

most of the people in the comment section are retards
c.it is a well rounded weapon
c.good for silenced kills,if my melee weapon is broken, lost, ect.
d.the machete is a useful too
d.it's a ************* multi tool
b. the tank and the hummer ******* eat gasoline faster than op sucks cock, and the boat wouldn't be useful for anything i would be doing.

User avatar #311 to #309 - beerbely (07/18/2012) [-]
I will have to disagree with your second choice, the crossbow would be the best out of that selection because you can reuse the bolts.
User avatar #315 to #311 - divinedpk (07/18/2012) [-]
but heres the only problem how often is there going to be ONE zombie where you can shoot it and retrieve your bolts unless you can get 5 with a bolt or two i dont think youre going to be retrieving them as often as you would like
User avatar #326 to #315 - ffx (07/18/2012) [-]
Pistols can jam over time of poor maintenance and no lubrication. Crossbow you can make makeshift rods that should still work well for median range.
User avatar #330 to #326 - divinedpk (07/18/2012) [-]
very true but without a multi tool it kinda obsoletes the wooden rods which is why i went binochulars and pistol its kinda like a this or that thing since they pair up
User avatar #319 to #315 - beerbely (07/18/2012) [-]
Well you can also make the bolts with wood then wrap it in duct tape or something similar so it wont shatter.
User avatar #333 to #319 - divinedpk (07/18/2012) [-]
yep its just without a multi-tool it would be tough to make the rods
User avatar #114 - roninneko (07/17/2012) [-]
1: A. Semi-auto, long effective range, still effective as a battle rifle at mid-close range. Ammo common as **** .

2: C. Quiet, compact, common ammo.

3: D. Multiple survival applications, requires no skill to use, cheap and accessible.

4: C. Can be used for rappelling, setting traps, as a tourniquet in case of amputations, can also be burned as an emergency light source.

5: D. Distance that can be traveled is unlimited, because can be operated with manpower when the motor dies. Also, zombies can't reach you in a boat.
#513 - Rascal (07/18/2012) [-]
Katana only. With a bandana.

I shall begin the journey as a samurai KONICHIWAAAAA
#505 - misteranderson (07/18/2012) [-]
If anyone picks an RPG as a primary weapon, they deserve to die.
All of the first choices also depend on ammunition.
IMO I would choose the shotgun for crowd control, silenced pistol for when you have to be quiet, bat because a katana would dull really ******* quickly, chainsaw needs fuel and machete would stick in the bodies, swiss army knife (I'd have a small torch on it, **** yeah swiss) and the tank because I could use it as a safe spot to sleep and can run over **** .

1.d-short range, completely blows off a zombies head.
2. d-bows are reusable.
3.a-a bat never gets dull
4. d - i can make anything with that.
5.c -massive protection, when out of fuel or ammo, use it as a base
User avatar #477 - tsakirama (07/18/2012) [-]
1. a: Because I could shoot zombies from distance if I notice there are some in my way.
2. a For close range shooting and in case of emergencies.
3 b : Because it's ******* badass and I could easily cut zombie heads off with it.
4. b : In case of black outs, just whip out your flash light and your good to go.
5. b : Because it consumes less gas and its faster and compacter. In case you have to zoom between zombies, you're good to go.

1 c because a sniper has way less ammo and your leave yourself open to closequarters attack. the rifle can be semi auto and has a 4 time scope plentty distance and ammo along with versatility
2 c silenced with the same stopping power against zombies as a deagle, also its less likely to disorient you in super close quarters and remains silent in case of several zombies in your way with an army next door.
3 d lighter than a katana and just as durable and capable. also usable as survival gear and for solo takedowns.
4im conflicted here. the flashlight would be very useful in dark areas but the zombies might be attracted to light and it runs on batteries which may become scarce. so instead ill pick c due to the multi purpose rope for escape, bundling or hogtying pesky survivors for interrogation.
5a runs on too much gas but has storage, b runs great on gas but has no storage and is noisy, c destroys gas and would be obsolete in a day. so D due to storage and the ability to turn off the engine and drift away from shore using the rope to anchor and using the gas to change position in emergency.

I THINK THIS **** THROUGH

Main: Sniper, Don't need to get close
Secondary:Silenced Pistol, Quiet, won't alert zombies
Melee: Bat, If i lose it, i can find a Sporting Goods store and get another
Gadget: Swiss army knife, Could use it to pick a lock
Vehicle: Boat, Zombies won't get me in the water, unless Micheal Phelps was turned, then i'm screwed

1.D
Common wisdom is that you need to land a head-shot to kill a zombie, or remove a limb or too to neutralize it, a shot gun has perfect stopping power for this; as a moving target the head-shot would incredibly difficult to do with the semi-auto or sniper rifle (given my complete lack of training with guns), thus shot gun for ease of use.
2.D
Where are you going to get food? You'll likely need to hunt eventually, a scoped cross bow has retrievable ammo, is silent, and the scope can replace binoculars.
3. D: Bat will dent very quickly becoming useless, the katana requires some degree of skill I don't have an would likely need to be maintained, chainsaw requires fuel and is loud. A machete is blunt enough to hack limbs off and has practicality a utility tool.

4.D You're going to be roaming around the ruins of the civilized world, it'll be incredible important to be able to deconstruct and reassemble things, the flashlight will run out of batteries, the rope would be useful too though.
5. Taking any vehicle besides a regular bike is a very bad idea because of a need of fuel and noise, I wouldn't take a vehicle, I'd walk.

a - keep my distance and pick them off
c - dont want to attract too much attention, small and light
d - multi purpose and good for spinal damage
b - **** going into a dark room with no flash light
b - good mileage for the gas, fast and able to get through narrow pathways
