Just a word of advice, only buy games that are part of the daily deals, flash sales, and community choices. They're cheaper than the regular sales, and you can always buy the other games you wanted on the last day of the summer sale.

>See epic sale on steam
>Be underage so no credit card of my own
>Decide to ask my dad to put his info on account
>freaks out
>Starts talking about credit card theft
>I tell him how Steam is used by millions of users and is rarely ever hacked
>He doesn't give a ****
>Tell him how even if it does get hack there are millions of users and odds are it wouldn't be us to get our **** stolen
>Continues to not give a ****
>I shut up
>walk away sad trying to make him feel bad and change his mind
>Nothing
>My dad is a stone cold mother ******
>I get no games.
>contemplating suicide

It's just games. I only recently turned 18 and my parents would never have allowed me to buy all these games with their credit cards. You'll just have to wait until you're older.
User avatar #372 to #370 - bionicpanda (07/15/2012) [-]

if you have cash on you go to gamestop and buy steam cash cards. it's like xbox market points but on steam so you dont have to use a credit card.

bro my parents are the exact same had to get a job and earn my own money and then use my own credit card to pay for **** online. (not the only reason i got a job).
#397 to #364 - tvfreakuk (07/15/2012) [-]
My mam is the exact same.
After helping her for an hour and a half (because she was going on about **** that didn't matter) with her home insurance stuff, I asked her for her debit card details, so that she could pay for the insurance.
"What?! I didn't realise that I had to put in my card details! I'm not doing that! What if it's an internet scam! I'm just going to do it over the phone."
So then I took her card off her and put in her details because I was not going to waste my time helping her with this thing, for her to just go "Oh, all that time you spent helping me while I babbled on stupidly about things that are pointless, it turns out I didn't need your help and I'm just going to phone up.

Piracy is the scum of the gaming industry. It means devs that make great games don't get the money they deserve while ****** games like COD make millions. It's also the reason why PC gets ****** ports and why some games aren't ported to PC.
in conclusion, **** you, you cheap dickbag

Alternatively, you could always torrent it because it's not a multiplayer game
#165 to #83 - Hackdak (07/15/2012) [-]
At the price skyrim is alone, you're better off getting the bethesda pack if you don't have fallout: new vegas as well.

It's well worth 50 dollars to get brink, fallout, hunter: Demon forge, Skyrim and all the DLC with the games, when skyrim is 30, 40 after the day is done.
