Ok so let me first say that neither religion or atheism can prove eachother wrong.
now for the math **** , ok so most religions have some version of hell, and therefor non-believers would go there. So atheists (because they believe in no religion) have a 50% chance of going to a hellish place.
Ok now lets say that hypothetically there are 50 religions on the planet and you believe in one of them your chances of going to a hellish place would take a 1% drop but still a drop equaling 49% chance.

That's the worst math I've ever heard...

Hey you can't prove or disprove that there's an invisible unicorn in your house, so that means there's a 50% chance there is, and a 50% chance that there's not one.

Wow first of all that was not the point maybe if you actually read it, you would see that its a 50% chance not of existing but of going to a "hellish" place

You do not take to account the religions that do not have hell, also, it is not 50/50, since there are endless theories and "possibilities" what may happen after you die.

the point that was trying to be made was that your chances are better with a religion.
going back to the point made by Pascal’s Wager.

Religion is just a bunch of ******** made up to scare people into submitting to their rule. That's where the concept of "hell" comes from.

Notice how people don't go to hell for being evil, they go to hell for breaking <insert religion here>'s rules or not believing in <Insert religion here>'s god.

People can believe in god if they want, but religion is mental abuse. I despise it.

Actually no, your chances would not be better with religion, because there is the same chance that following a religion will land you in hell and not following it will grant you eternal bliss.

Except that Pascal's Wager was some of the worst ******** ever. Why would anyone waste their time and/or money on something that has no supporting evidence whatsoever.
