Heroes of the people? WHAT THE ****?!

I agree that they look classier but gangsters have never been seen as heroes of any people

actually they were. People thought they were complete gentleman and whatnot. Just look at John Dillenger. When he was captured the media was talking to him and lauighing with him and everyone wanted his autograph.

|They were the only people fighting back against the government and the prohibition, so a lot of people respected them.

It was common that when they were being persecuted by the police that people would often hide them in their houses. The cops were douches back then and would commonly abuse their power and the people. The 'Gangsters' stood up for the people and gave them hope.
