First off, I'd like to thank everyone for their input on this list. Check the description for the credits. If you don't see a movie that you thought should be on here, it's most likely in Part 1 or 2.

Of all the twilight jokes, that one was the best.

You have to include The Fly and Naked Lunch, two of Cronenbergs most messed up films. The Fly is pretty nasty and has some really intensely disturbing scenes. Naked Lunch is easily the weirdest film I've ever seen (far weirder than a Lynch film) and has an incredibly shocking rape scene. Also Suspiria has some of the most bloodthirsty and creative murder scenes ever filmed (one involving wire), all shot in vivid dreamlike colours. It also has a scary arse supernaturally powered zombie in it. Tokyo Gore Police needs a mention for its level of ****** up, Man Bites Dog is a black and white serial killer handy cam style film which is just nasty. Just some suggestions for you bro

freaks is actually a really good movie, and most of the cast were originally circus freaks

Just a little heads up to anyone going to watch the poughkeepsie tapes. I loved the movie so I'm just going to point out now that when OP says the movie is very scary, he dosen't mean in a sort of "jump-scare" style. The film to me, is so terrifying because it is so real and you know that things like this happen everyday and trying to comprehend the torture these people are going through and the fact that this also happens in real life scares the **** out of me.

either way, if i catch a vampire watching me sleep he's got about 10 minutes to live.

The best part about that whole movie is that they really don't show much and leave it to imagination.

The movie made me sob so hard.

Little Otik. I caught it on tv with my dad a few years ago. It's some kind of foreign horror film where a woman fakes a pregnancy and raises a wood baby that comes to life and starts killing people. Not super scary but unsettling and weird.

Saw that film, and I agree, it is worth a watch :)

For those of you who have Netflix and are into sick **** , you should watch Horsemen. Dennis Quaid is in it and you get to see a dead baby fetus, but I won't spoil anything else. Pic Related.

That last one wasn't scary but I did puke a couple hundred times during the opening credits and then it just escalated from there.

Waltz With Bashir is definitely one of the best movies, it's morbid, but it has a great story and the animation is fantastic.

Morbis Twilight...

Well played OP.. Well played

I'd recommend Peter Jackson's Braindead. Even though it's fairly comical. It's the goriest thing I've ever seen. Just look up the lawnmower scene on YouTube.

Another really good gory movie is The Evil Dead...There's also a scene where possessed tree branches rape a woman.

The Evil Dead series is like 10% scary and gory and like 90% hilarious.

I still think it's pretty underground, and doesn't have too much cult status.

The Gateway Meat is the most gory film I have ever seen.

OP I actually really enjoy these posts. I've always liked horror/morbid movies and have always had a hard time finding ones that really creeped me out. Anyways I'll leave a few movies you should check out; High Tension is nutty, Fire in the Sky has one of the creepiest abduction/probing scenes ever created, I Spit on Your Grave, Bad Taste (funny, but gory all the same), Meatball Machine (really gory, but not that great of a movie).
User avatar #43 to #28 - chiddysal (07/07/2012) [-]
I glad you enojoy them, and I definitely check out those movies.
