I actually disagree with that pic.

There is a right answer, we can all agree on that. And the system of debate is one of the most effective methods we have to reach that answer together. After all, it was pioneered by the greeks to solve intellectual/moral controversies.
I don't have a problem with people respectfully debating their opinions. Key word here is 'respectfully'

Denmark. Kinda the same, except for gay marriage (it's a HUGE topic now though!) and abortion which turned out to not be true (?)

Gay marriage is a fairly big issue here (Ontario) as well. Though we are more liberal than many countries about the issue. Abortion is still a social taboo, and there's a big split between pro-life and pro-choice. Skip the issue, wear a godamn condom in my opinion.

the Republicans are christian and prefer a christian-oriented system. america has a 70-odd% christian population, and only something like 3% atheist population. canada is much more multicultural with a higher population of atheists, socialist values, and other things that republicans hate.

Well I quess that, that makes sense. I don't mind christians, but some of them could make laws that are ********. But again. I dont live in america, so that is 40% of "I don't give a ****" And, according to my calculations, I give 60% of *****. Not enough for me to care, but enough to hold my interest in american politic state.

Canada is more supportive of multiculturalism and values it more, therefore, they are more multicultural. America is a melting pot, Canada is the world in one country, as they say. let's not turn this into a silly debate that goes nowhere, because we all know there's more improperly educated Americans wielding red thumbs than there are intelligent people on both sides.

No, your country assimilates people aswell. And the US receives a higher level immigrants than anywhere in the world. There are also more canadians living in the US than vice versa.

As stated by nationmasters.

that's also caused by a population gap. i think you'll find the statistics would me much different if both country's populations were roughly the same, as well as the fact that america tends to be very vocal in broadcasting how great it is, thus attracting a larger number of immigrants. it's not as simple as statistics, it's about understanding the mindset and politics of both countries. Canada values the image of being multicultural, tolerant and polite much more than america does, and if you'd ever spent time here, you would know that.

I have known people who went to canada, and one didn't like it because the people there mistreated her for being hispanic. I rarely hear/see anybody praising America anymore, in fact I mostly see people complaining or bashing it. Canada isn't perfect, get over it. The US has just as much values as canada does.

yes, i know that, but i'm saying as a whole, the values are different, not better, DIFFERENT. i don't see why whenever anyone argues difference it always seems to be twisted to "better" by one party.

Because you implied it. "multicultural, tolerant and polite much more than america does". Apparently, most people now days view these ideologies as modern and superior while aggression is more barbaric.

As long as that 45% atheist population isn't the kind of atheist that shoves their logic into people's faces just because they're religious. If they're the tolerant kind of atheist, count me in. Besides, as a Buddhist, atheists really can't prove that way of life wrong in any way, seeing as it isn't based on faith in any god.

yes i can, it like all other religions is based on a set of impossible to prove or disprove statements like "somewhere in space is a planet made entirely of oreo cookies" which isn't true, but you can't PROVE that it isn't, and thus if we use logic any claims of forces or laws or existences outside of our own that are supported merely by heresy and some form of faith can only be presumed to be incorrect.

inb4 someone mentions that im exactly the kind of athiest he just reffered to (also, the only reason i felt the need to try and prove you wrong, is because you said i couldn't)

Actually, Buddhism is the practice of self-purification, i.e. focusing on positive emotions instead of negative ones, scientifically proven to make people happier. The only thing you could disagree with is the reincarnation part, which that's gonna be answered at death, so why worry about it now?

It's more of a philosophy than a religion. "Wanting things causes suffering" is the basic point of Buddhism, and there's significant evidence to prove that to be correct.

I never really saw buddhism as a religion. More like a philosophy for living life. You can't really prove a philosophy wrong...

And I think the whole reason atheists believe what they do is because of lack of evidence. The burden of proof isn't on them. They don't have to prove themselves right. For example, if you came to an atheist who had never heard of God and told them he existed, would they have to go on a quest to prove you wrong? No, they would just say you were wrong based on lack of evidence.

For this reason, I think the majority of atheists don't bother shoving logic in people's faces. Only on the internet they do. So you won't have to worry about atheists doing that in Canada. Especially if you're buddhist.
