Jesus was a real person no matter if what he did in the bible is true or an exaggeration.

Yes and a person named George really existed too. We can't assume that any record with someone named George belonged to someone that actually crossed the Delaware. Besides, there were many claims of messiahs in the days "Jesus" would have been alive. Much like mediums or psychics are popular today, many people were coming forth, claiming to be a messiah.

Actually, most historians agree that Jesus most likely existed. Even flaws in the bible point toward an actual Jesus of Nazareth. However, there is no evidence that he was anything, but a man.

+ Jesus was a widespread Name at this time.
it could be possible that different "prophets" with this name was messed up in the story's.

people don't become very old at this time. That means the story was told form person to person.

The first versions of the "Gospels" were written about 50 years after Jesus died.
(in some versions Jesus WAS just a human prophet. )

325 AD, at the First Council of Nicaea ,the Bible was formed, and many gospels were simply left out of the bible. the most other versions are destroyed or hidden in the Vatican.

<-- and this is Derpjesus because i can

The large-scale Census ordered by the Roman Empire in Luke didn't actually happen. This Census was what moved Jesus to be born in Bethlehem to fulfill the prophecy that the savior would be born in Bethlehem. If Jesus was a made-up person then it would be much easier to just make him be born in Bethlehem then to go to such lengths to get him from Nazareth to there. Jesus was most likely a real person who actually lived in Nazareth, but that's all.

i didnt say he was a fictive person.
i just say that the most information about him was changed.
hey made him to a Water-walking-super-Jesus.
. i always thought the "important" things in the bible are the part about moral and tolerance.Nope, its about bashing atheists ,scientists and other religions.
typical conversation with a bible-freak:
"the bible says, jesus IS the son of God"
"seriously? maybe its just symbol..."
- "NO HE WAS GODS SON,GOD IS REAL I HAVE TO TAKE EVERY WORD SERIOUSLY WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT THE MEANING OF IT-
"nothing to do here"
i don't even know why people in the year 2012 debating about this shit.
the little "miracles" and magic tricks never happened. and every human who believe such stuff , is insulting the human intellect.
