Today i finally finished doing everything important on my main character. Did all quest lines, thieves guild special jobs, brother hood contracts, got all the masks, deadric quests, divines quest, all house, all shouts etc etc. I then decided to go on my level 9 for a bit and saved over my main character. :(

NOW TO START AAAAAALL OVER! ;_; but at that point, unless you are going to try out mods on pc that are hardcore, there is nothing left to do except fight a bunch of floppy weenies. like in twilight princess i got link everything. all hearts, items, everything. and now i have no reason to play ._. except to kill as a wolf *w*

That sucks bro. I did the same things. Those thieves guild jobs can be a bitch. Like when you actually finish everything and get the guildmaster armor. It was my least favorite thing I have done on there. But I new save every time I save. I currently have 604 saves.

Unless all of your saves were autosaves, you can still go back to your old character. Only way you lost your main is if you only saved once in the entire game and that's impossible. Pretty sure this to applies non pc too.
gif unrelated.

I have something like 50 saves--If the game glitches or some ****, I can start from way before the potentially glitchy quest/questline that I'm on. Saved my hide once or twice.

Pretty much makes Narwhalsareawesome's situation nearly impossible.

I try to give them the chance to run/stop attacking. I use the disarm shout, then just stand there, sometimes I heal them if they plead for mercy.

Nut they always find the nearest dagger and continue trying to kill me, so I end them. Undead is a different story. I'm doing good by releasing their souls back to oblivion

And with the perk that makes daggers do 30 times normal damage, you can oneshot pretty much ANYTHING. With 100 sneak, they never see you coming.

I don't even need to sneak--Nothing can actually hurt me at this point, even on the highest difficulty. It's just really fun to snipe them and see them go "I must be hearing things." "Must have been nothing." "Mind must be playing tricks on me."

Whenever I have to assassinate someone in a town for a quest, I go REALLY far back and snipe them with an arrow--nobody notices it and your bounty never rises.

Works in Fallout: New Vegas, too. I was once locked out of New Vegas for some strange reason and the Securitrons were glitched and did not act as if it was locked, so I went all the way back to the far gate and sniped one of them, then looted his key. Nobody attacked me. Works like a charm.

so i feel like as a wood elf i would be treated like **** if i went with the imperials, but ulfric is an asshole, just plain selfish, and i don't like the stormcloaks and their racism.

i wish you had a quest line to obliterate the thalmor in the most vicious and bloody way possible. perhaps a revenge quest...ehehehe

I'm a Nord, and I thought about fighting for Ulfric. Talos IS a god, and he deserves to be revered like one.
However, Ulfric's reasons are selfish, and he wouldn't be able to defend Skyrim against the Aldmeri Dominion alone.
The Empire is just under the grip of Mer, but once that grip loosens, Talos will rise again.
Long live the Empire!

heck yeah! and if the stormcloaks and empire actually worked together by faking a winner (empire, seeing as how they have better chances of surviving under the thalmor's gaze), they could have worked together in the end with surprise attacks on the thalmor to unite skyrim once and for all. it would be a tough decision.

ulfric is an ass and an idiot, but if him and general tulius has worked together in secret (despite the losses; sacrifices must be made in this case. no avoiding it) and decided the stormcloaks needed to lose (in other words withdraw and make it seem as though ulfric and his battle planners were wounded in an attack) the stormclaoks could have blended into society again until they were reassembled and prepared to attack in groups the major-places-the-thalmor-reside-in. they could clear skyrim of their influence.

if the stormcloaks were able to get off their high horse long enough, they could even help the empire rid it's own lands of the thalmor. especially with the help of the dragonborn.

the dragonborn should have been able to unite them both with their legendary power. maybe even help train others to form a mission of true justice brought by the gods, in the form of the thu'um. how long would a dragonborn live? a long time i think...look at all the other dragons.
they iz old ya'll.

It's not as simple as uniting the two sides. Ulfric had a cause he fought for, and he would never give up his claim to the High King's throne.

true, true, but if he had brains he would realize the thalmor were the problem. yes, the empire bowed and ground their muzzles in the earth like pathetic dogs, but they had reason to. just as skyrim's children meant something to the nords, the empire's children meant something to the empire. they did not want any more conflict. the sides did not have to be united forever. they could have been united to eliminate the thalmor. the dragonborn could have gathered evidence of how the thalmor were twisted.

and if the dragonborn thought they needed to "convince" the jarls or higher-ups in the empire, they could have. some people, despite how rich they may be from coins earned by sneaky pathetic ways, don't want to die. the dragonborn could have even gained riches from the adventures they had to convince others to their side. just for this one mission. then as the stormcloaks helped the empire rid themselves of the thalmor, the nords could have skyrim for themselves.

otherwise the dragonborn could have hired many fighters and even gathered the people that owed them their lives to fight for them. they could have grown until they could have taken over the majority of skyrim. then they could make deals with the two sides and eliminate every thalmor agent sent their way until they were prepared to take up arms against the thalmor from bought forces of the stormcloaks and empire. it would take a long, long time. but it's an idea.

all just an idea xD
