You used justin beiber as the example, your comparison is invalid.

people in soccer kinda have an excuse, i mean dont thumb me down for not bandwagoning but in soccer when you get hurt usually your team is allowed a penalty kick. THus it helps to get penalties. Sure sometimes even a touch and the player is on the floor but is usually is because they are trying to win off of fouls.

Getting your head split open for a sport just does not seem worth it to me

I'm an American, and I was raised on American football. But after a brief stint in Europe and a lot of time watching rugby, I can honestly say that I would fight a whole NFL team with my fists before I fight one rugby player with a tank.
It's like Thor and Hercules had hundreds of man-children and forced them to fight in an arena.

the man on the left ran out onto that field, knowing full well how ridiculous he looked, in nothing but a pink bundle of rags and a piddly excuse for a helmet, and went on to tackle a bunch of beefy dudes for an entire game, risking his mostly unprotected body.

meanwhile, the football player doesn't have a scratch on him and is wearing full padding and armor. yeah, real brave.

Rugby is a contact sport where you're pretty much trying to hurt the other person, soccer is not

Doesn't mean that football players aren't pathetic. Rolling around on the floor whenever someone lays a finger on them.
