Good morning /anime/ hows everyone doing :D? New here, so I think ill get to know you all better over time. Anyway, genre you avoid the most when searching for anime? Mine would have to be slice of life (just not too appealing to me)

Science Fiction or Mecha. I just don't get them.

I also avoid SoL animes because it's mostly pointless banter.

I think

On a side note, what did everyone here think of Mirai Nikki (The Future Diary)? I feel as though im the only one that thought it was a actually a really solid show with a mediocre but acceptable ending. I keep seeing a lotta hate on it and idk why o.O

It's actually up there in my favourites. ...That may just be because my tastes are a little twisted, but I thought it was done really well and it kept my attention through the whole series, which is something painfully hard to do, for me.

i enjoyed the show. Liked the psychos and survival game and plot twists, but the weak link was definitely the too passive MC even if his attitude's realist and understandable.

But i enjoyed the ending, i prefer it to the 'hammer' one at least even if they wink to it. I was scared all along they'd pull some bad deus ex machina hunger games style with 2 winners or some crap like that. Not to mention the final plot twists about Yuno's revelation was pretty well written, good enough for making you feel stupid about not guessing sooner.

I love it. It has faults but I enjoyed the show enough to overlook them.
The ending is alright, at least for the anime. Manga ending sucks.

Morning, I'm fine, I guess. Hows yourself.

I find that every genre can have good examples and bad examples, so I dont really put too much stock in the genres themselves.

Pretty good, created acc somewhat recently to hang on this board haha. Yeah I see your point, but truth is I guess that I haven't really had a good slice of life reccomendation in a long time, so that may just be an unlucky streak then
