It's only been about two weeks since I ran out of finished anime and I'm already starting to lose my mind. How do you guys cope with having to wait for stuff to watch?

I ran out of anything I found to interesting. I only watch romance (in fact it is right to say romance is the reason I watch anime), and I had scoured through the romance tags on several sites until I had watched the last remaining one that interested me.

watch Spice and Wolf

no excuses
it has entertaining dialogue and Holo is best girl in anime

Also Holo isn't best girl (though she is close), Misaka Mikoto is.

Blasphemy.
Misaka is great, one of my favorites
but Holo is god tier. Literally.

Entertaining, yes, but only the first time around. Since its wittiness is its main selling point means it loses all rewatch value when you know the dialogue.
Rewatch value comes from simple gratification. Like for instance in To Aru Majutsu no Index, I think I've seen the first episode like 15 times, the first season 5 times and its entirety twice.

It's your own fault for not expanding the genres you watch. There is still good anime out there you have not watched, you just refuse to watch it because it doesn't fall in your specific genre. You can't complain.

I'm not complaining about there not being enough romance anime, I know full and well that I've been devouring anime at a pace far exceeding what's even healthy.
And I don't really have that much room to expand my target genre, you can only dilute something so much before ingesting the concoction becomes counter-productive. I'm watching romance to distance myself from my own sad lack of a lovelife, watching stuff without it or with a form of romance that doesn't fit my own views would only serve to further my craving for it.

Thus why I'm asking what people do to take their minds off of the wait.

But I'm not interested in stuff that doesn't have major enough romance to warrant a romance tag in either Anime-Planet or MAL or on Anilinkz. Furthermore it has a combination of themes that my stomach finds unsettling.

Utena is a romance though, trust me.

It allegedly has romance, but no valid source supports the claim that it is one.
Note that there's a big difference between the two, as a romance focuses largely on romantic relationships, while any other anime with romance just has them happen as an addition to everything else.

I'll probably never finish all the anime I have saved up especially because I watch airing anime as well.

I would have thought the same thing half a year ago, but I still managed to see everything that interested me in 11 months.

I've tried looking at older stuff, but the earliest anime I found interesting was the Ah! My Goddess OVA from 1993.

But I've read so much over the years that my eyes are locked in a permanent glare and it's not quite the same without sound.
