My family came to America in the Late 1700's. We've lived here for around 230 years and I was born here. Doesn't that make me a native?

No. The natives were first, so they're the natives.

Native- being the place or environment in which a person was born or a thing came into being: one's native land.

I was born in America.

Actually, according to your logic, if a people moved to this land from somewhere else, they are not natives right? Native Americans actually came over from Asia.

I just remember learning about it a few years ago in history. Supposedly, it is believed that they came from Asia across the Bering Strait.

A couple thousand years ago (I don't know when exactly, it could be allot more than just thousands of years) Asia and North America were connected by a kind of bridge, and since they were fallowing herds of animal, they ended up passing from Asia to north America, because that's the way the animals were going, and yeah. Nobody really came from North America, when you look at the ancestors of everybody it ends up in Africa. But they were there first though, so it's their land.

Native to this land, and Native to a society are two different things. My native land is Vietnam, but I was born in Canada so I am a native to its society.

Get over yourself.

from your point of view, you might be a native American
but from the American point of view, the American Indians or whatever you're calling hem nowadays are the natives
