yeah, i know, but i saw this image a while ago and i found it amusing. i find it so peculiar that so many people are surprised that a civilization over 5000 years old thought that they might not need to extend their calendar past 2012.

i did a school report on the 2012 end of the world thing and one source i came across said the mayan disappearance was "shrouded in mystery" but that's just one source so i could be wrong.

no, you are right, no one knows for sure, but really
the aztecs were a military power
the mayans focused on science and such
they dominated the same area
it is like roanoke, they consider it a mystery, but the truth is right there
