Wonder if that was helped by him only having 1 or 2 lines

In all honesty, Darth Maul looks and fight cool but as a villain he's pretty lame. He has no presence. He's just there to look cool and provide a fight scene.

A real villain does more than just come out of nowhere and punch you a couple times. A real villain feels like a threat to a lot of people, plays with your mind, makes you hate him.
#411 to #375 - anon (05/25/2012) [-]
Well Darth Maul was Palpatine's/Sidiuous' apprentice at the time. They were kind of like a duo, or something, Sidious made the plans and such, Darth Maul did the dirty work.

But I understand what you mean about how he could have done more

Lots of bad things in that movie, but Darth Maul was not one of them. First sith in the series that could hold off two jedi
#42 to #3 - comradewinter ONLINE (05/24/2012) [-]
In the series he's the first sith they encounter, so no surprise there. But he was too arrogant. He died because he thought Obi-Wan was done for and put his guard down.

User avatar #418 to #416 - asasqw (05/25/2012) [-]
Darth Maul had a doable bladed light-saber, your argument is invalid

you have a point there

Hughes is, and always will be my favorite character throughout the FMA series. I did not enjoy Brotherhood that much, because he was barely in compared to the original.
