the sun is only about 8 light minutes away from earth, the fact about the sun is wrong. just saying

it takes 8 minutes from the surface of the sun to reach earth, but it takes some 30,000 years for the light to travel from the core of the sun to the surface.

of course dinosaur farts were the major contributor to global warming back then, there wasn't anything else to contribute to it which could match the output of all the gassy dinosaurs

on the time it takes for sunlight to reach us from the sun:
The distance that light travels in a vacuum in one year, approximately 9.46 trillion (9.46 × 1012) kilometers or 5.88 trillion (5.88 × 1012) miles.

5,878,625,373,183.61 statute miles = 1 light-year
The sun is 93 million miles away from this planet.

The Sun is 8.3 light-year minutes away
so it only takes 8.3 minutes for sunlight to reach us from the sun

I I the only one who was totally pissed off by the fact that OP is a lying whore, because light is ************* light, and therefore moves at LIGHTspeed, and takes approximately 8 minutes to get to earth? Fact check your **** .
#22 to #20 - xxxsonic fanxxx (05/18/2012) [-]
Wrong!

On average, it takes energy between 10,000 and 170,000 years to leave the sun's interior and then be emitted from the surface as light

As soon as I read the one about the eyeballs I started rolling my eyes around a bit and the neighbors decided to set off some fireworks just as I did... I got scared `-`

It takes sunlight just over 8 minutes (on average) to reach the earth...

And "dinosaur farts" contributing to global warming is just a theory.. The idea that 150 million years of the earth aging and its core cooling down, is a much more reliable theory...
