good way to leave a 50. cal, pointed right in your own face
#23 to #5 - Jewssassin (05/15/2012) [-]
Yes it has a mussel break, but that doesnt mean its a .50 cal.
#39 to #23 - dotterbox (05/15/2012) [-]
Please someone tell me what gun is that.

Yes I know it's a ******* sniper.
User avatar #54 to #39 - mrhumperdoodle (05/15/2012) [-]
M82A1 Barrett .50 caliber
User avatar #71 to #54 - Jewssassin (05/15/2012) [-]
Nope.

I want you to look at the size of an M82 and say this is the same thing, because it REALLY doesnt look like an M82.
It looks like a smaller, possibly bolt action rifle, with a large muzzle break that is usually put on an M82.
User avatar #90 to #71 - ishalltroll (05/15/2012) [-]
Are you kidding? That kid is like what, 1 meter tall? that means the rifle is at least like 1.60 meters long. And there's no bolt either. That's a ****** M82.
User avatar #99 to #90 - Jewssassin (05/15/2012) [-]
I believe the M82 is slightly over five feet long, which is over a meter but I have no idea how much.
How can you tell if there is no bolt? we are looking at the left side of the rifle. Also theres not **** huge box mag sticking out of it, but that can be just because its unloaded.
User avatar #132 to #99 - corkscrew (05/15/2012) [-]
complete serious right now, do you know about weapons?
because, while I don't know much about them, a google search shows that you are wrong and that is indeed an m82
and it has a magazine in it, what do you think that is sticking out?
we are looking at the RIGHT side of the rifle and has the locking bolt there
User avatar #117 to #99 - ishalltroll (05/15/2012) [-]
erm, thats the right side of the weapon.
and do you not see that magazine sticking out? that'll be about 6-10 rounds
User avatar #156 to #117 - Jewssassin (05/15/2012) [-]
It looks like the left side to me, the muzzle is facing the camera, angled away.
And I see something coming out of the bottom of the gun, but it doesnt look like the mag from an M82
User avatar #74 to #71 - mrhumperdoodle (05/15/2012) [-]
Ok, thank you
User avatar #78 to #74 - Jewssassin (05/15/2012) [-]
I do want to find out what kind of rifle this is, its just so shadowed and grainy its hard to tell, but it looks way to small to be an M82 or M107.
User avatar #79 to #78 - mrhumperdoodle (05/15/2012) [-]
lol, I've never really known much about guns
User avatar #82 to #79 - Jewssassin (05/15/2012) [-]
Its alright, just dont get your knowledge from video games. They all **** stuff up somehow.

If I may redirect your attention though.... You need to login to view this link
Lurk around for a bit if you really do want to learn more. 4chan is good for more then just /b/.

User avatar #43 to #39 - greenjester (05/15/2012) [-]
Barret .50cal
#192 to #43 - anonymous (05/16/2012) [-]
Barret M99 most likely.
User avatar #69 to #43 - Jewssassin (05/15/2012) [-]
Nope.
User avatar #169 to #69 - greenjester (05/15/2012) [-]
I must be wrong because the weapon is in the Call of Duty series, and kids don't know anything about weapons. Am I right?
Well, since you know so much about weapons, what is the full name of the sniper rifle?
User avatar #190 to #169 - Jewssassin (05/16/2012) [-]
Of what? THe rifle that I cant identify which Ive said already in this thread?
User avatar #194 to #190 - greenjester (05/16/2012) [-]
I didn't find the part where you said the name of the rifle. Tell me, lol.
It looks like a Barret M82, and if you don't think it isn't, then tell me why it isn't.
User avatar #198 to #194 - Jewssassin (05/16/2012) [-]
I cant tell what it is, but to my eye it looks too small to be an M82 and the mag, or alteast what seams to be the mag, looks too small.
Just because it has the muzzle break doesnt mean it is the M82, you can put that muzzle break on other rifles.
User avatar #199 to #198 - greenjester (05/16/2012) [-]
That kid must be around one meter tall, and the rifle is 1,5 meters. So, no. The rifle is not too small.
I'm not only thinking about the muzzle breaker, the WHOLE gun looks like a Barret M82. Also, not every magazine looks the same, and the size of the mag looks like a normal 5 bullets .50cal magazine.
User avatar #46 to #43 - dotterbox (05/15/2012) [-]
Oh thank you. I've been looking for that gun's name for some time. Thumb for your time!
User avatar #56 to #46 - hardtuner (05/15/2012) [-]
it's in all cod modern warfare series.

yes, i play modern warfare, but only cause i want to know how it ends. and for the survival/missions mode.

User avatar #76 to #56 - dotterbox (05/15/2012) [-]
Ah. I don't play the MW series. :P
User avatar #80 to #76 - hardtuner (05/15/2012) [-]
the story is quite good, ones you get immersed in the game, you feel bad when a character you know dies.
User avatar #86 to #80 - dotterbox (05/15/2012) [-]
Yeah, I already started playing some CoD games. Good stories, but sometimes gameplay just sucks. I'd probably be playing MW3 if I had a pc that would run it. For now I'm using my crappy laptop.(inb4 craptop)
User avatar #93 to #86 - hardtuner (05/15/2012) [-]
lol nice one, well i am also using a laptop, mostly cause i have school work. (lol like i do work.) the gameplay isn't the best, but the story mostly gets me. i do play multiplayer, but that is what you get when you buy a game specifically for mulitplayer.
User avatar #16 to #5 - totallynotmiggo (05/15/2012) [-]
Yes because guns fire by themselves.
User avatar #21 to #16 - ost (05/15/2012) [-]
It's called trigger discipline. You should always be extremely careful with guns because anything could happen. It's not like in Call of Duty where you shoot right through people, you know.

My uncle once let my brother hold his revolver (unloaded, uncle was police), he refused to hold it towards anywhere except the floor.
User avatar #34 to #22 - waffies (05/15/2012) [-]
The man has a point in principal. In any civilian firing range, school rifle range, or (according to my dad) basic training in the marine corp, you just plain dont do that... The man probably knows a lot more about his own weapon, and yeah he could be 100% sure he's safe, but its a bad habit to get into in case one day you're wrong. And guns do misfire from time to time, its just rarer and rarer with modern technology

school rifle range? The spoons at lunch have more of an edge than the butter knives at my school.
#120 to #110 - waffies (05/15/2012) [-]
Just an air rifle range, fires lead pellets. It's a JROTC event. Still could put out an eye or break the skin so we practice proper range safety
User avatar #124 to #120 - heartlessrobot (05/15/2012) [-]
What the **** . You get to fire air rifles at your school, and we can't even go through the lunchline without 4 police officers watching our every move and a drug dog searching the school every week.
User avatar #127 to #124 - waffies (05/15/2012) [-]
Well you have to be a JROTC member first, and you typically have a retired 1SG or LTC or SGM standing over you... but yeah i see your point. We only have one school cop but semi-weekly drug dog check. (Predominantly rich white kid and middle class hispanic community)
User avatar #130 to #127 - heartlessrobot (05/15/2012) [-]
We have upper middle class to people living off welfare, but still get representatives from Tokyo and Hong-Kong coming to our school to examine the American education system.
User avatar #137 to #130 - waffies (05/15/2012) [-]
Heh, probably to make them feel even more superior. No offence meant by that, but they're probably feeling all smug about how super-obedient their children are where as you have school cops errywhere
User avatar #24 to #22 - ost (05/15/2012) [-]
Yeah, sure. But even if it was empty the "rules" would apply. Never point the gun at something you won't shoot. Some time ago here in sweden there was a hunting accident, where a man accidentally shot his wife, i think. Just because he tripped while holding a loaded rifle.
User avatar #35 to #24 - drdres (05/15/2012) [-]
As this is from a movie I don't think the rule applies.. But yeah, you're right
User avatar #193 to #35 - ost (05/16/2012) [-]
Wait... Sweden is a movie now?
User avatar #195 to #193 - drdres (05/16/2012) [-]
No, I swedish too (tjena förresten), I meant that the picture is from a movie and therefore the rule doesn't apply. Everything is allowed in movies.
User avatar #196 to #195 - ost (05/16/2012) [-]
Aha, jag trodde du menade det med olyckan :) Har för mig det var uppe i jämtland eller någe :P
User avatar #197 to #196 - drdres (05/16/2012) [-]
Nope, jag hörde om det där jag med. Men det hände ju i lumpen ett antal gånger att folk pekade med sina vapen, då blev det en rejäl utskällning och slavgöra.
User avatar #12 to #5 - truemox (05/15/2012) [-]
yeah, I noticed
