A larger percentage of blacks are in the lower classes, while a higher percentage of whites are in the upper classes. That has much more of an effect than race in and of itself.

yeah, black people really invented crimes....

Oh yeah and separation was so much better.... I dont have a picture showing protests, fire hoses being used indiscriminately, sit ins, that one town in the south where the mayor had an armored vehicle with white power slogans on it, martin luther king and the other honest and noble protesters who earned their rights...... and all the other equally or more terrible things that happened back then, so here's The Dude.

Again, matter of opinion. Excellent point: we dont have any clue, as we havent exactly experienced it.... but to put it simply its a matter of fairness. Where do you draw the line? I personally have no issue with different races having the ability to stand on the same level.... to be honest ti think the only thing im bigoted against is Obesity -__-

The only thing I'm bigoted against is dumb ******* . It just so happens that they make up the majority of their race.

well i feel like stupid people will be stupid people. For the record im so white i might as well be albino and i hate more retarded white people than any other race. My problem stands with people who are fat and think they deserve special treatment. The deserve to go to fat camps and be strapped by their hands to treadmills....

My problem lies with dumb ******* who think they should get special treatment because their great great great grandpas were sold into slavery and sit around and smoke crack.

Hmm.... well i think there's a key point in both of our statements: They think they deserve something when they are offerring nothing in return to anyone... at all! Now, if a black man complained about his lineage in a passive way but also worked hard to get somewhere in life, where would you stand on that?

Keep up the work and shut the **** up about the past. It's in the past. My ancestors weren't exactly welcomed with open arms. We got over it.
User avatar #36 to #34 - waffies (05/14/2012) [-]
fair enough! question if you dont mind: who were your ancestors?

Irish American. I mean I know they didn't have it as bad but they were still discriminated against. Oh plus I have no sympathy towards blacks who bitch and moan about slavery because my family didn't come to America until the early 1900s. We didn't have a damn thing to do with it.
#45 to #37 - stallwallwriter (05/14/2012) [-]
That they were discriminated against kind of works counter to your argument. Weathier protestant and established families would say that irish americans were lazy, stupid, constantly drunk, etc. Nowadays nobody bats an eyelash at an irish last name, because time has passed and they're integrated into the society . Nobody's saying you have to feel guilty about slavery - collective guilt is ridiculous and serves no-one. Same can be said of segregation.

Once again, fair enough. Quite honestly anyone who complains about things that didnt involve them is rather silly... either way, thanks for having a rational conversation on the internet. Have a nice night broski
