Pfff, I make calculator drawings using actual equations!
(I call it "Cartesian Art" [except one time I made one in polar....])
I recommend you people try it, its awesome

You mean like Fractals?

Um....no. Not at all, really.
Which part did you think was about fractals?
#185 to #184 - solig (05/15/2012) [-]
The part where you were using equations to make drawings. Fractals are the same, they are just drawings made with equations, except their equations are ran in the form of BASIC code.

O, maybe that's like a computer way of defining them. I'm not a computer science dude, so I wouldn't know.
In math terms, a fractal is a shape where all parts of it are a scaled down version of the shape as a whole going infinitely small and infinitely big

That's my interpretation of what you guy were coding on calculators. I figured there would be no other way to make drawings on that platform with out the rotation and re-scaling of dots.

plain and simple...

Ok, but only because you asked nicely

OH!! I've seen these before. Thank you, sir.

pic unrelated.

Seen these specifically or seen equations of this type?
User avatar #177 to #176 - luckyflea (05/14/2012) [-]
I've seen one's similar to these. like for the heart you can do:
f(x)=sqrt(1-(|x|-1)^2)
g(x)=arcos(1-|x|)-Pi

o, wow, thats really cool
thanks man
(but mine's more epic because it has an arrow through it :P)
User avatar #179 to #178 - luckyflea (05/14/2012) [-]
yeah, no problem
