The only thing worth buying is ebony (because ebony is used in the pretty good ebony weapons/armor and in the ******* amazing Daedric weapons/armor) and leather because you need leather for next to everything and it's good for making a **** ton of hid and leather items to upgrade smithing. Really you never ever want to buy weapons from stores. Even before I got to Riverwood at the beginning of the story, I had a better weapon than anything I could find in any store. Same for armor. All the best stuff you have to make yourself. And never ever wast Deadric hearts. I didn't freakin' know you needed them for Daedric armor and I used it in a potion.

Do Mehrunes Dagon's quest. Starts in dawnstar at lvl 22. Revisit shrine after mission, 2 daedras each time to kill.

Then, when you realize this, you do use it, and then you need it 5 minutes later.

this kinda relates to me in minecraft... i legitimately obtained 70 some odd diamonds, and i crafted a pickaxe just to get obsidian. now i dont want to use that pick.

Every single ******* item in Monster Hunter.
Seriously, I'm scared to sell anything because I KNOW that for some reason the blacksmith will need the **** I just sold for a weapon that has nothing to do with that item.

Get pissed because you have to use.
Be depressed because you never got to use it.

Dark Jak in Jak II. Not so much in three because you could turn it on and off and it was really easy to get more dark/light eco.

This isn't quite the same, but I always make sure my armor and weapons in Fallout 3 and New Vegas are always operating at peak performance (100 repair skill for the win?)... I suppose I do like to stockpile ridiculous amounts of ammo, though. I remember in one fallout 3 character I had over 20,000 micro fusion cells and some 40-odd mini nukes.
