**** you, Germany's a great place. The way you described it, it almost sounds like the U.S. of Ass, only still better.

lol America is the greatest country on earth. it does suck but everywhere else sucks harder.
User avatar #1106 to #1100 - Sirdorova (05/08/2012) [-]
Meanwhile, Germany's doing well enough to bail out countries as far into the ******* as Greece. Oh yes, living in Germany sucks way harder than living in the land of the who cares.

well we're certainly the freest country. and that's enough to make us the greatest. but i wanna get serious for a minute.

that little tantrum you threw back in the 40s was uncalled for. i mean, you completely ruined that mustache style for those of us who thought it was cool.

There is no austrian ethnicity, atleast there was none at Hitler's time.
I'm an austrian german, and I know that the whole "Austrian Identity" thing only commenced after WW2, when Austria suddenly claimed to be victims of the German reich, despite the fact that 99% of austrians voted for the annexation to the german reich.

You should go to wikipedia and read about the austrian identity, or about the Opferthese (german for victim theory). otherwise you will end up sounding like a retard.
User avatar #1215 to #1181 - Sirdorova (05/08/2012) [-]
I was referring you Hitler's Austrian citizenship, not ethnicity. I know there wasn't any at the time.

Nice German. I know they share the same culture and both speak Hochdeutsch. You're not seeing my point. Hitler was representing a country that he wasn't even born in. What you've said is like saying that Americans and Canadians are the same because they share the same culture and speak the same language.
#1285 to #1284 - anon (05/08/2012) [-]
Well, It doesn't matter then whether he was german or not.
Obama is african but there's still some people who might say that he represents the USA, although I would disagree with that, but Hitler on the other hand didn't represent Germany at all. It was the germans that represent Germany, Hitler was the man that made the germans become what he would define as "being german", which was: hard working, loyal to both Hitler and Germany and anti-semitic I guess.
User avatar #1292 to #1285 - Sirdorova (05/09/2012) [-]
Dude... This is what I've been trying to argue this whole time -epic facepalm-... Plus, Germans were still hard-working people before he became the Fuhrer... Everyone was forced to serve the state, that's how fascism works. He ruled them through totalitarianism, contolled media through censorship and propaganda. He was convincing Germans of being part of a master-race, the aryan myth: the Ubermensch, not that they would just be, " hard working, loyal to both Hitler and Germany and anti-semitic I guess." He didn't just force them to turn on Jews, but any undesirables like cripples, homos, gypsies, anyone who was an enemy of the state. You're talking out of your ass, I don't even believe you're from Austria either. You probably just typed that whole ******** up in translate, it didn't even make sense in proper hochdeutsch, go see for yourself, saumensch... (have fun translating that word, Hündin).
#1298 to #1292 - anon (05/10/2012) [-]
Well, I'm ending this argument here because I have things to do.

"Hitler was representing a country that he wasn't even born in"
No, he wasn't. It was no one other than the germans themself who represent Germany.

As I said earlier, it doesn't matter where you come from, Hitler spoke german, lived by german culture and traditions and he decided to leave Austria-Hungary in WW1 to fight with the bavarian army.
How is that not ******* german to you?

and last, yes I'm somehow austrian.
I was born in Germany, my father is german but my mother is austrian and I've been to Austria several times and enjoyed their pseudo culture.
what I wrote in german makes prefect sense, you probably copied it and pasted it in Google translate and wondered why it sounded wrong.
and the fact that you used the word Saumensch and Hündin proves that you only know your german from your ****** american WW2 movies.

Have a nice day.
User avatar #1299 to #1298 - Sirdorova (05/10/2012) [-]
lol I hate american war movies and america, nice try. If there's one thing we can agree on is that this argument is pointless
User avatar #1206 to #1181 - Sirdorova (05/08/2012) [-]
Hitler's Austrian citizenship was terminated 6 years after the end of WW2, maybe that's what you're reading, I have no idea what you're arguing...
User avatar #1200 to #1181 - Sirdorova (05/08/2012) [-]
The fact that he wasn't German is my point. Plus, I don't get my facts from Wikipedia, that's a poor source that'll leave you sounding like a retard often times. Hitler was born in the Braunau am Inn in upper Austria. He frequented the Opera house in Vienna as well. I know about the Anschluss, my Oma was forced to be an interpreter for the Schutzstaffel when she lived in Vienna.
User avatar #1151 to #1134 - Sirdorova (05/08/2012) [-]
I hope you realize that Nazi Germany was just as ****** for Germans too, plus the NSDAP started taking over in the late 30's. Shows that you ******* yankees know nothing about history other than you made the atomic bomb. You weren't gonna do anything but profit off of your lend-lease program after the fall of France until little Japan came over and rustled your jimmies.
User avatar #1162 to #1151 - jokeface (05/08/2012) [-]
actually i was referring specifically to the war, the majority of which took place in the 40s
User avatar #1169 to #1162 - Sirdorova (05/08/2012) [-]
Which was an even ******** time for German people. It simply started back in the 30's, you've proved nothing other than my point.
