I miss the everloving **** out of Jimmy Neutron.

But **** that piece of **** spin-off "Planet Sheen", that was just insulting.

They basically have spongebob, fairly odd parents, and LoK. The new episodes of spongebob and fairly odd parents aren't as good as the old ones. they should have kept the ones like Jimmy Neutron and Danny Phantom, and some of their older ones like Rocket Power. Most of their new shows suck, like that Tuff Puppy and **** .

I don't know when Jimmy is on, but this has a bunch of the old nick shows.

I think the point when Jimmy Neutron got cancelled was the point when Nickelodeon lost its last vestige of respectability. (What do they even have for cartoons anymore?)
#36 to #32 - extremistavenger ONLINE (05/06/2012) [-]
I'm not entirely sure where and when Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network fell short, but it almost happened unexpectedly in a gradual manner. I would, however like to say this, some things are just meant to end, The Movie Finale of Ed, Edd, n Eddy was just glorious, the series finale of Jimmy Neutron was fairly weak, but it did have some closure and at least put my mind at ease. Those cartoons had to have an ending, they weren't just cancelled, I'd rather see them be sailed off and enclosed as a precious memory rather than become a dragged out husk of something I used to love, such as Spongebob, I've grown to despise and loathe each new episode that comes out, they are just garbage compared to the classic episodes. Care to discuss this some more? I have so much to say about cartoon channels nowadays, I'd hate for my opinion to go nowhere.

^That was my reaction to everything Nickelodeon broadcasts nowadays.
#43 to #36 - doopleganger (05/06/2012) [-]
I know that feel bro. Ed' edd' n eddy ended amazingly and even though i was sad to see it end it really did have a lot of closure. I don't know whats the matter with spongebob nowadays, even though it pains me to say it spongebob is getting to old and i think they should just put it out of its misery. Pic related

AT LEAST they're premiering reruns of Ed, Edd, n Eddy at 3 and showing episodes of the old cartoons (all reruns) at 8 on CN, though. And they're staying away from making new episodes of anything.

I agree with what you are saying, Nick brought back a few old shows from 4kids TV that I watched when I was REALLY little, and killed the shows for me for good, as well as running Fairly Odd Parents and Spongebob into the dirt. Childhood: eliminated.
#51 to #32 - Stationbomber (05/06/2012) [-]
Some shows just have to end. At least it didn't become incredibly bad like spongebob did. That show should have ended like three seasons ago, it was actually supposed to end after the movie but Nikolodean really milked it.
User avatar #57 to #51 - Viacom (05/06/2012) [-]
You've got that right. When Nickelodeon first offered to commit to a 40 episode series, the creator Stephen Hillenburg didn't even want to do that; he wanted to make one, or maybe two or three episodes total so he could be sure whatever was produced from his idea could be made perfectly. It's now 174 episodes later, so I think they pretty well screwed the pooch on that deal.
#58 to #57 - Stationbomber (05/06/2012) [-]
Well the show kinda started to suck after the movie. I think it was actually supposed to end after the movie and plus I think the storyboard artisted was fired after the movie. So it could have been a number of problems I guess.

Well they have Legend of Korra.. But that's about it.

I never really cared for the Avatar series, but that's because I never followed up, I missed one episode and I couldn't understand **** after that.
But hear me out, one popular cartoon isn't enough to save an entire channel, if all you're going to watch on Nickelodeon is LoK, then the whole channel is just about useless since you can watch the show online (I think). It's sad really, an entire channel filled with brilliant shows written by masterful and creative people now void, and stripped of such great potential.

it is indeed a dark time for cartoons.
User avatar #49 to #45 - commontroll (05/06/2012) [-]
Well, there's also Adventure Time, and Regular Show. Those are awesome, and from what I've seen of Amazing World of Gumball, that's a pretty decent one. I think most people are too cynical at this age to enjoy kids cartoons usually. I also love MLP and LOK and TLAB. But I agree, a channel only having a couple shows doesn't redeem it. However, that's how it is for most channels these days. History Channel, Discovery, all the kids' channels, etc. Now it's all about USA, Comedy Central, ABC, NBC, etc.
#73 to #49 - extremistavenger ONLINE (05/06/2012) [-]
MLP is a great show, its the gigantic mania that has pursued it that has made me not love it as much as I think I would have. But nonetheless, if it's on and I've got nothing else to watch,
I might as well stick around.
User avatar #161 to #73 - commontroll (05/06/2012) [-]
Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm a brony, and even still a lot of the fans take it way too far, and just don't stop freaking out over it.

What's wrong with Spongebob?
User avatar #159 to #103 - commontroll (05/06/2012) [-]
It's just becoming a bit of a husk and just being dragged into the ground. It's not quite what it was, it's either almost a decade old, or over a decade old. It's time to just put it to rest man.
User avatar #157 to #49 - condormcninja (05/06/2012) [-]
Just saying, Adventure Time, Regular show, and I'm pretty sure Gumball are all on Cartoon Network, not Nickelodeon.
User avatar #158 to #157 - commontroll (05/06/2012) [-]
Timmy had said for cartoons. I know they're different channels, I'm just saying that there are still good cartoons out there. They're just usually spread out.
#116 to #32 - anon (05/06/2012) [-]
Fairly odd parents, except they killed that show with ********** , boring storylines after Poof was born.

Before then it was actually funny and made fun of everything/one else.

Who cares if its from Tv, If it makes us laugh then its acceptable. The people on here are starting to be spoiled ***** that won't appreciate a good post when they see one by spamming them with REPOST or ITS FROM TV THEREFORE ITS NOT FUNNY.
