The book was actually written by a mathematician when the invention of imaginary numbers started going around. The insanity that occurs over most of the book is supposed to symbolize what would happen mathematics if it continued to go into the realm of imaginary numbers.

The book was written by a pedophile for the girl he liked, Alice Liddell. It was half love letter and half a chronicle of her descent into madness. Here's a pic of her; tell me she doesn't look creepy as shit.

the whole pedophilia thing with Lewis Carroll originated from the fact that he took photographs of nude little girls.  However, unless you are one of the biographers trying to get attention, like morton cohen, this is fairly widely accepted as him showing his interest in the innocence of little children, in a non-sexual way.

Nope. What totallywhiteguy described is what the book is actually about. The only thing you got right was that Alice in the books was named after Alice Liddell.
