First back flip I tried I landed on the edge of the concrete around the pool. Friends drug me to shallow end and laughed. I sat in the shallow end for like 10 mins until my eyes refocused. Good to know that when I am concussed in pool my friends will not take me out of the pool, but re-position me in a shallower part.

I Used to backflip into pools. One time I landed of the edge, nearly broke my leg.
I don't backflip anymore.

ikr? backflips are like the easiest moves ever, all it basiclly boils down to is jumping stright up and tucking XD and today for the first time i landed a flash kick 100% on 1 foot, it was epic

I mean, people shouldn't do such stupid things. You need proper training!
User avatar #24 to #13 - ryuuk (04/25/2012) [-]
Mhm, it wouldnt be such a problem if people practiced in a safe way until theyre confident in their ability. Practice and technique is important. (lol, look at all our red thumbs)

Haha, yeah well. Would you look at the massive amount of cares I give :D

Yeah, I started practicing on a regular matt with front-flips. Front-flips are much less dangerous because half of the rotation is complete as soon as you lean over.

After getting front flips down, I had somebody show me that similar concepts work for both, and my first backflip was pretty okay. I still haven't mastered it, but I'm confident enough to do one on the grass or soil :D

Pavement seems a bit far fetched for now, haha!

i think i did my first front flip accidentally into a pool lol. i slipped when i was running into it and instinctively threw my arms down to catch myself on the ground but ended up doing a flip and landing on my back. after that i moved to trampolines then to mats lol. (my webster flip is a work in progress though, along with my b-twist and gainer)

as for backflips i did my first one about a year and a half ago into a foam pit then practiced a ton into pools and onto my mattress since then. i actually think that they're much easier than frontflips.

i had problems doing it on solid ground at first but they're really much easier than on grass, soil or mulch because there's a lot more resistance to push off. its still a little scary to flip off something onto concrete though...

Yeah, backflips are easier. They just happen to be much more dangerous to fail.

When you backflip, you see your landing and feel the momentum. Frontflips, you just have to feel the landing, and that doesn't always turn out well XD

User avatar #5 to #2 - Lilstow (04/25/2012) [-]
