It's theorized that if he'd been accepted to art school, that WW2 and the holocaust would never have happened. I'm pretty sure the person who denied him feels bad about that now...

Says who? He was still interested in politics, and he was brilliant as such.

I'm sure he'd still run for the elections, maybe not with the same fire in his eyes, but the same ideals.

Artists these days:
"Oh it's absolutely brilliant, a little favourite of mine, it represents the uhh... abstraction of... the... dire... economical situation in uh... um... Ireland. That'll be 100 000 euro. Cheque or visa."

Fire..so much fire..the voices, they say burn things. They say burn people too. I like burning people. They smell good when they burn. The fire makes things clean again. Fixes everything, can start over. The voices say if I burn everything,I can be better. The voices say theyll hurt me if I dont burn things...

The better your talent is, the higher your standards will go when it comes to your view on said talent. So yeah, artists tend to get pretty fickle when it comes to other people's artwork along with their own, meaning that the artist will create a masterpiece and underestimate it, while the people who draw dicks in their homework's margins in their spare time will look at the the artwork, and flash the artist a *******************************. Just how it goes in the art world, or for any type of world for that matter.

Same goes for grades. People hate on me because my goals are adjusted to my abilities, not theirs.

It's the opposite actually, they hate on me if I get disappointed with my grade even though it's better than theirs.

Kinda a classic. "You should be happy because you got better than me, not sad because you could have gotten a lot better if you worked for it".

Then there is an idiot who makes some crap and pretends like it is the greatest thing ever.

This is a representation of a "piece of art" that I saw in a museum once. It's name was Green Square, and it represented the "envy that the artist felt".

Salvador Dalí wasn't like that. He wrote this in his diary: “The supreme and perhaps most important decision of my life, since it indicates the direction that I have to follow, is the following (which has been approved by my family): I shall quickly finish my remaining studies, doing the remaining two years in just one. Then I’ll go to Madrid to the Academia de bellas artes…There I intend to spend three years working like mad, anyway the Academia is a fine place. Then by sacrificing myself and submitting to truth I will win the prize to study for four years in Rome; and coming back from Rome I’ll be a genius, and the world will admire me. Perhaps I’ll be more despised and misunderstood, but I ll be a genius, a great genius, I am sure of it.

During one of his assesments he told the school board that they weren’t competent enough to judge him. And then he got expelled....
