**anonymous rolled a random image posted in comment #117 at I miss my cat **

you have to pay extra for heavy luggage because the heavier the plane is the more fuel it consumes. so you pay for fuel.

overweight fees don't really have to do with the planes weight, rather the fact that any particular person working there has to lift the bag over their head and into the plane, 60 times a flight, the idea being that if everyone has 100 pound bags the worker could get injured

The spaceshuttle is contributing aerodynamicly and thereby resulting in more lift - your fat ass and your bag is not

Does anybody else think they need to put a smaller plane on top of the shuttle, and then a car on top of the plane and then a bike on top of the car?

except that 747 has no passengers or luggage, only fuel

the 747 was originally built to carry the space shuttle because it would be much faster to fly the ****** than to slowly drive it on the few roads strong enough to not break open under the weight.

im american an i totally agree with him, have u ever sat next to a fat guy on a long flight. i sat next to a guy whose fat rolls were spilling into my seat. he should have had to buy another ticket cause his fat ass took up 2 seats. (but not all americans are fat)
User avatar #14 to #13 - timbittwo (04/22/2012) [-]
This may just be a rumour: Some airlines in Canada make you buy two seats if you are obese.
User avatar #3 to #1 - ogctom (04/22/2012) [-]

That 747 basically only has a cockpit, fuel tanks, etc. Everything that is essential for a commercial flight that isn't needed is removed.
