Too bad I don't have 5 hours and $20 for one sandwich. Maybe when I have summer off and I can just whip that **** up. I know for a fact my mom wouldn't put that much time and effort into a sandwich for me.

$20? Unless you own a cow that you can slaughter for the steaks then you have a terrible estimation of that price.
And you don't have maybe half an hour of cooking time followed by 4 hours of literally doing anything else? It's not as if you have to stare at it so that if flattens.

Actually, I'm a bit curious as to what this thing would cost, so let's break it down, shall we?

(prices are approximate)

Pack of bacon = $5
3 ribeye steaks = about $10 per steak so $30 total
1 pound mushrooms = $3
One onion = $0.50
Pack of swiss cheese = $3
Loaf of hard crusted italian bread = $5
Thick Worcestershire sauce = $2.50
Mustard = $2
Horseradish = $2

You're looking at a $53 sandwich. Depending on where you live VS price of food, might be more, might be less.

Wow, that was actually very close to how much I spent.
I already had some Worcestershire sauce but my cheese was a bit more expensive (It's damn good cheese though.
I wish I still had the receipt so I could show you, but it was 56.34. Well done sir.

I'm going to try this really quickly. I work at a grocery store so I have a pretty good estimation of what the prices would be where I work.

Pack of bacon = $3
3 ribeye steaks = I can get a value pack of 3 for ~$11
1 lb. Mushrooms = $1.49
Onion = $.39
Pack of Swiss cheese = $2.49
Loaf of hard crusted Itlaian bread = $2
Worchestershire = $2
Mustard = $1.49
Horseradish = $2

About 25-26 dollars.

I don't know where you shop, but have you considered Smith's or the Kroger equivelent where you live?

The prices for everything might be closer to your estimates... Minus the steak.

Steak around here is not cheap. Nor is bacon.

Which reminds me, if I'm going to use the steak the day that I buy it, I can get the same pack for about 7 or 8 dollars. It just may have sat out a bit longer.
