Here's the checkmate for those against the theory of evolution who believe in Adam and Eve:

What race were they? And how do we explain Asians, Hispanics, Middle Eastern, White, Black, Eastern Europeans and Scandinavians don't look alike?

Makes them rage, usually. At one point they will say something like how we adapt to where we live and all that. Makes me smirk.

Yeah not really checkmate. The story goes that Adam and Eve had two kids (cain and abel) and then those kids went out to different villages and found wives. Which I mean they don't really mention that at all before that and most people would say that it's a cope out, stupid, and convenient, but then again if you're going to believe in an all powerful being making two other beings from dirt and a human rib, then making a couple more people doesn't seem that far out there.

Seems like a cover-up to satisfy those who doubted, you ask me.

I don't know. I like to think of religion in a philosophical idea instead of just "it's not real" so let's say that god is real. If you were god would you just make one group of people?

I would make as many people as possible, and then kill them by throwing them miles away and crush them with big boulders.

He kind of did that :P. accept the boulders were on fire.

So he's been AFK for 1200 years?

My friend Warshak explains it best.

Soooo, God simply created two people and then he bounced? While the stories about him are flawed, the theory of a being creating the planet isn't possible to prove wrong.

Have yo read any of the bible? I mean you're insulting the hell out of Christianity but you seem to know base your insults off of being wrong.

I've read parts of it. But Jesus walking on water, making wine out of water and resurrecting seems pretty much off. And that's not the only thing that seems weird in that book.

Do you think all Christians take what the bible says literally? There are some of us that believe it's stories and moral teachings.
#386 to #385 - comradewinter (04/08/2012) [-]
No, I don't. The moral stories like David vs Goliath are good ones, but the way the Bible was written indicates the writers intended for people to take it literally.

Again no. That's how some people interpret it. Take any literary class on anything and the teacher will tell you that a book is perceived by the reader. Not the writer. You say it is supposed to be taken literally, because that's how you interpreted it.

The Bible is written like a summarized history book, not a novel.
#389 to #388 - zombieplayground (04/08/2012) [-]
Again. How you interpreted. Of course it's not going to be written like a novel you would read today. It was written in a different time and culture.
